I am Jihad, and I am an English language licensed tour guide in Jordan. I am an Arabic man with a Palestinian heart & a Jordanian soul! I grew up in the desert of Kuwait & I am independent since childhood age. My tourism experience is in all kinds of tours such as adventure, hiking, historical, cultural, religious & recreational tours. I am a university graduate, and I have chosen to be a tour guide because I love outdoor work & meeting people. My life experience comes from traveling, meeting people, work experience, & the most important is reading all kind of books, especially the Arabic books. I do enjoy sharing our culture with travellers. I am always trying to encourage travellers to live our culture; for example, eating local food, talk with local people, share special occasions with locals & having a night in a local house. The most beautiful places for me in Jordan are Petra, Wadi Rum & the Dead Sea because they are unique places which you will not find anything similar to in the world. I am proud to share Jordan's culture with visitors where Jordan is a beautiful country, safe, full of history & Jordanians are respectful people. Jordan is a holy land where most of the prophets have been, & this region, in general, is where human civilization started. I do love playing chess, so if you want to lose bring your chess with you!! I do like swimming, walking, reading, traveling and I do some martial arts. The tourists call me the Legend!! Maybe because I do love my work and I know how to run the tour in a smooth and happy way. Overview of your Amman tour
it's a private tour, and only you and your group will be with me. During this full-day tour, we will take an orientation drive through Amman and visit the National Museum, the archaeological site of the Citadel, the Roman theater (including its museum), a downtown walking tour, King Abdullah Masjed (Mosque) & Royal Auto Mobile Museum. I am a qualified historian and tour guide, so I have lots of experience to share with you about the history of Amman, Jordan & Arab culture. Walking with me downtown is the highlight of the tour, I shall take you to a hidden old fruit & vegetable market, eating Kenafa from the oldest sweet shop & traditional Arabic light lunch! if we have time we will go to local people's homes to have tea, so you can experience the local living & lifestyle.
Your Amman tour itinerary
During the tour, we'll take an orientation drive through Amman and visit: - National Museum ( closed on Tuesday) for about one hour. - Archaeological site of the Citadel ( mountain of the Citadel). for one & a half an hour. - Roman theater (including its museum) for about half an hour. - Down Town (old market, including light lunch at a local restaurant) for at least one hour. - King Abdullah Masjed (Mosque) for about one hour. The local name is the Blue Mosque. - Royal Auto Mobile Museum (closed on Tuesday) for about 45 minutes. - Lunchtime. - Drive around the city if we have time.
