Hi, I'm Marta an official local guide of Campania Region since 2014. I was born and I live in Salerno, a town in Southern Italy, close to the Amalfi Coast. I'm graduated in Foreign Languages (Arabic, Portuguese and English) and I have a Master Degree in History of Art and Cultural Heritage. I worked in Spain for two years with an Italian Tour Operator. I was selling package holidays to Spanish agencies. In 2014, I took my Tour Guide Licence, because I wanted to change direction with my career as a Tour guide. I started part-time working at the Botanical Garden of Salerno and teaching junior and secondary aged students in Orienteering, an outdoor sport. During this period, the Garden Tours Department asked me to take visitors on two hours tours of Salerno, which lead on to self-organised tours around the historical sites of Campania Region. Today, I do tours around the region, in particular, tours of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Amalfi, Ravello and Paestum. My tours are comprehensive, funny and are designed to inform you about the people, culture and history of this wonderful land. I aim to grab the interest of visitors, deepening the understanding of local history, using the anecdotal history alongside the classical facts. My personal tour of Ravello, Atrani and Amalfi, takes you in a special atmosphere beetwen history and local lifestyle. Amalfi, with its magnificent Cathedral with Arab influence, was the most Ancient Maritime Republic of Italy. Close by to Amalfi there is Atrani, with its pitoresque sailor village. Up into the verdant mountains, sorrounded by beautiful gardens and ancient villas, like Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone, there is Ravello. THE TOUR CAN BE CUSTOMIZED

Marta was an excellent guide for our trip to Amalfi, Ravello and Atrani. She was very responsive to our requests and suggestions as she planned our tour, and she took the time to really understand what kind of experience we wanted; an unhurried walking tour in less crowded parts of the Amalfi Coast. Marta was especially helpful finding us a driver on short notice when the weather foreclosed the option of taking a ferry. She is knowledgeable, friendly, personable, smart, and resourceful.

Marta was, above all, very well informed! With her depth of knowledge she was able to go well beyond our questions to give us an informed and interesting tour. So many things to know, so little time. We loved her because she was ultimately flexible. She met us at our BNB tried very hard to get Us to as many places as possible.
