Ciao! My name is Giada, which means a little green precious stone (Jade). As my name suggests I am a tiny, smiling and very talkative person, and a professional licensed tourist guide of the Campania Region. I was born and still live in Salerno, a charming medieval town on the seaside, outside the beaten path, where the first western school of medicine was born. I haven't been always interested in what I am doing, because my first passion was the theatre. I studied classical dance and violin for a long time. Those are anyway different forms of arts and so at the moment I finished high school I decided to improve my knowledge about history of art. I studied 3 years at the University of Salerno, and then other 2 years at the University of Rome, to be an art historian. The decision to be a guide arrived later, when I was in the capital and was doing tours for a particular exhibition the University organised. I enjoyed so much that period, and I loved the job that tourists really appreciated, giving great feedback. I decided to study English to do the exam for the licence and here I am! Today it's not about what I do anymore, but what I am. . . a guide. I worked also as a trip leader, for a 17days tour of the South of Italy, so I know what taking care of tourists means, and as an event organizer for temporary exhibitions. Thanks to these job experiences I could improve my skills and I am now very organized and detail-oriented. What I will offer you is an experience, I hope you can share and remember. Tours of history, art, monuments, and landscapes of Salerno, or Amalfi, the main maritime republic, a lovely beautiful village on the famous coast, or a jump into the ancient Greek, and roman, history and culture you can live again visiting the archaeological site of Poseidonia/Paestum. It is also a time we will spend together, walking and talking with a deep insight into the real life of my hometown, and not only, giving you a taste of all the aspects, including local food, accompanied with my passion, enthusiasm, and personality. If this is what you are looking for, come to Campania Region and contact me. I am more than happy and willing to customize any tours. Licensed tourist guide of Campania Region since 2014. Master degree in History of arts at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". Bachelor's degree in Cultural Heritage at the University of Salerno. Master in Event Organisation. I am not a driver. I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Facing the bay of Salerno, the Amalfi coast is the most characteristic part of the coastline and is about 40 km long, from Vietri sul Mare to Positano. Amalfi is the main village, which gives the name to this part of the coast, and it was the first and richest maritime republic during the medieval age. It has been always so interesting for the particular location, like a gem embedded into nature, the cliff and the water of the sea. I live in Salerno and I often do tours in Amalfi, I've always loved since a I was a child. It seems suspended in time. Walking there, through very narrow alleys, looking at the building and the small shops. Even in winter it seems to jump for a while into the summer atmosphere. It is possible to understand the history, from the roman period to the modern age, and the culture but also how people live in such a small village. Join me in this tour and you will live one of the most impressive experience ever!
We will meet at the agreed location, take the ferry to Amalfi (30 min approx) and then visit: - Cloister of Paradise - Museum - Crypt and Cathedral We will walk through the village and I will show you unexpected corners only known by locals. What is important is the amazing view of the entire bay that you can enjoy from the sea. I believe that the best way to reach Amalfi and have a taste of the beauty of the entire coast is the ferry. There is only one narrow and full of curves street from Salerno to Amalfi, but getting there by ferry avoids the traffic, that is always crowded from April to October, and you have the chance to see the several villages from the water. From November to April, when there are no ferry leaving from Salerno, and the traffic is better, we can do the same tour, but with a private driver and a van. It is going to be a little bit longer but a very good experience as well, passing through the villages with the car. * This tour can be customized upon request, please contact me.
