Eccomi qui. I m Daniela and I was born in Lecce. I have a Spanish name, descended from a noble family which came here in XVII century. Lecce became a famous city in the Kingdom of Naples, attracting many families, which is why many sumptuous dwellings with gardens and courtyards were built there. I’m a salentina woman interested in fashion, food, and travel. I love Salento, called the heel of Italy's boot and to show hidden villages, and fascinating views such as the Eastern coast of Salento. Initially it is low and sandy but the further South you go, it gradually becomes rocky and wild and rich in bays and caves. You can participate in some amusing activities: a papier maché lesson in a typical studio of Lecce. An artisan will teach you how to make our “pupi” (little statues) tasting of our local pastries called pasticciotto with caffè leccese, puccia and rustico are the specialties included in my food tour. I have a Diploma in Business Administration and Foreign Language and Degree in cultural heritage 24 years of experience working independently as a guide and event organizer in this area. Collaboration and coordination with the University of Salento as a guide and tourism expert. So I can organize tailor-made tours and experiences, focusing on the architecture and Salento lifestyle, with luxury vehicles too. My pleasure to make you enjoy the best and undiscovered highlights of this area. If my calendar is full, feel free to contact me, I'll be happy to help you! I can arrange luxury transportation in a Mercedes with a professional driver. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

The exceptional interpretation of the baroque style in Lecce makes this town unique. The baroque here is exuberant and joyful, characterized by festoons, twisted columns, bizarre facemasks, all carved in the local stone. It takes some inspiration from the Spanish cities. The classic tour is a pleasant stroll which starts from Cathedral Square, where you will admire the Cathedral, the Bishopric, the Seminary and the bell tower. Along the main street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele III, you will be captivated by charming private mansions beautifully ornate with balconies supported by bizarre shapes carved in stone. Saint Irene church is a remarkable example of counter-reformation architecture, and the Basilica of Santa Croce, attached to the ex-monastery of the Celestines, is cheerfully elegant. The tour also includes a papier maché studio, the Roman ruins in the central Piazza Saint Oronzo and a stop in one of the most renowned local cafés to taste the “pasticciotto”, a visit to a private garden.
