I'm Carlo, an authorized tourist guide for passion. I know Apulia wery well, having studied thoroughly its history, art, tradition, environment and curiosities. This is a tour that I am particularly involved in. Lecce is the city where my family comes from, where I studied and which I usually frequent. Oranto is a unique city, surrounded by a blue and crystalline sea. Lecce, sometimes called the Florence of the South, is the main city on southern Puglia's Salento Peninsula and one of the top places to go in Puglia. Walking trough the old city of Lecce we'll appreciate the beautiful building and churches in the typical Barocco stile from 16th century. We'll see also some important ruins from ancient roman time. Also notable are traditional handicrafts, especially the art of paper mache. Otranto will surprise you with the beautiful landscape and its medieval romanic cathedral, where is preserved an amazing floor mosaic from the 11th century rich of symbols from the ancient past.
Our guide Carlos’s energy was delightful. Seeing the east coast of the “heel” was so much fun. It was a beautiful day for gazing and photos. Carlo knew so many interesting facts about the area and he shared them with us in a way that made us want more! Fabulous tour with a fabulous guide. Doesn’t get any better than that!
Carlo is a great tour guide and a genuinely lovely person. We really enjoyed the time we spent with him and loved our visits to Galatina and Otranto.
This was my 2nd tour I booked with Carlo. He is knowledgeable, engaging, and enjoyable to be with (plus a great driver!). He picked me up at my hotel in Brindisi and we began our tour in the amazing baroque town of Lecce. I really felt I had experienced the town's history under the guidance of Carlo. Next we visited the Abbey of Santa Maria di Cerrate. Carlo was fabulous to include this spot due to my interest in its history. Next on to Otranto with the intriguing Tree of Life mosaic. A 5 star tour!!!

Carlo provided an excellent tour of Otranto and surrounds along with Lecce in a full day tour. Carlo has a vast knowledge of history, architecture, geology, local culture and is a delightful accommodating guide. Very responsive to special requests for visit planning. Car was very comfortable and we appreciated the cooler of cold bottled water.
Carlo was very warm and personable, he had fresh water for us when it was broiling outside. We had an excellent experience and enjoyed learning the local history of Otranto and Lecce and seeing the sights, highly recommended.
