You can be assured of a top quality tour if you choose to travel with me! I live and work in the beautiful County of Kerry, and studied nearby at the University in Cork City. I live close to the beautiful town of Killarney. I qualified with a BA(hons) at the National University of Ireland - University College Cork. By studying History and Geography locally, I have lots of extra local knowledge to share with guests on my tours. I completed my masters (MSc) in Dublin, so have also spent time in our capital city. I am married with 2 children, and have 20 years experience in tourism throughout Ireland. I have guided for many world famous tour companies, from student groups to VIP tours. For the last 5 years I have been a tour guide in my local area, and love guiding private tours and ensuring everyone has a great time. The most important thing for me is that everyone who joins my tour has a great time. The great thing about a private tour, is that you can decide how much information and commentary you wish me to share with you, but I am equally happy for us to relax and listen to some great Irish music! I am happy to adapt the tour to reflect your interests and requirements! As we travel together on the tour, I am always happy to make as many stops as you wish, for photos or to just to get out and stretch the legs! Michael arrived on time and came to pick us up at our self-catered home which was on a farm on the outskirts of Killarney. His bus was clean and had more than enough seats for our party of 6 (looked like he could fit 16-18 in there)! He was flexible with our itinerary and absolutely fine when we changed our minds and wanted to stay longer in Sneem for lunch. He happily answered all our numerous questions about Irish history, educational systems and anything else my elderly parents threw at him. We were impressed with how he maneuvered that bus with all the crazy drivers and skinny roads on the Kerry. My husband was relieved I didn't make him drive it!! All in all a great day out and we'd recommend Michael to any friends.

We did the Ring of Kerry private tour with Michael Walsh. We had a group of 7 including a 2 year old. The tour was excellent and he gave us multiple options to stop at or not during the tour. Beautiful scenery throughout the trip. The Cliffs of Kerry are a definite must. Michael gave us great information about the sites throughout the tour. He was great with the two year old. We had a wonderful day spent with Michael touring the Ring of Kerry. It was a full day of downpour rain, but Michael made sure we saw everything he possibly could. He was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and a joy to spend the day with.
Your Killarney tour itinerary
-Early morning: we meet at your accommodation in Killarney or Kenmare or I can meet you from the train station when the train arrives! -We do NOT follow a fixed timetable on my tour! Depending on your interests we adapt the tour to make it memorable for you! With our smaller touring vehicle, we have many options to leave the main Ring Of Kerry Touring route and see smaller roads with spectacular views! -During the day you will see the famous views of the Ring of Kerry, including Dingle Bay, Molls Gap, Ladies View & Killarney National Park. -The tour normally finishes at about 5. 30pm!
