I live close to the beautiful town of Killarney. I qualified with a BA(hons) at the National University of Ireland - University College Cork. By studying History and Geography locally, I have lots of extra local knowledge to share with guests on my tours. I completed my masters (MSc) in Dublin, so have also spent time in our capital city. I am married with 2 children, and have 20 years experience in tourism throughout Ireland. I have guided for many world famous tour companies, from student groups to VIP tours. For the last 5 years I have been a tour guide in my local area, and love guiding private tours and ensuring everyone has a great time. The most important thing for me is that everyone who joins my tour has a great time. The great thing about a private tour, is that you can decide how much information and commentary you wish me to share with you, but I am equally happy for us to relax and listen to some great Irish music! I am happy to adapt the tour to reflect your interests and requirements! Overview of your Killarney tour
This tour departs from Killarney or Kenmare in County Kerry, and allows you to explore the best of the Cork region. We visit Cork City, Blarney and the historic town of Cobh. We will start the day in Cork City, the Southern Capital, with a guided panoramic tour. We will then drive along the the famous Cork harbour, said to be the second largest natural harbour in the world. We can stop at some local historic towns, and see a little of the beautiful countryside. We will also visit Blarney Castle if you wish, and kiss the Blarney Stone!
Your Killarney tour itinerary
-We meet at your hotel/accommodation if it is nearby, or else we can meet at the Train Station! -After that you decide the itinerary! We can visit the many sites of the city together! We can drive all or part of the city tour, or walk if you prefer! -If you wish to have lunch on the way, or just a sandwich, I will point out great places that locals love in the city! If you fancy a drink in a local famous pub, we can do that too! -Outside the city, we can take a drive to Cork Harbour, maybe visit the famous town of Cobh or if you wish we can go to kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle in the afternoon when all the crowds have gone! Its your tour, and I am flexible with what we see and do!
