The Cliffs of Moher are Ireland's number one tourist attraction. Their breathtaking beauty does not stop with the cliffs but continues to the surrounding area known as the Burren, a UNESCO geopark. Your knowledgeable guide will tell you all the stories of the landscape and explain how this area came to be created millions of years ago. Cross the Shannon estuary by ferry to the county of Clare and the famous cliffs of Moher. Visit the Burren National Park, which is a very different lunar-type landscape.
-From Killarney we will travel towards the river Shannon which we will cross by ferry and maybe see some dolphins. -This short ferry journey will bring us directly to county Clare where we will travel north through seaside villages and the famous 'Lahinch golf links' and finally to the cliffs of moher, 720 ft high and the second most visited attraction in Ireland! --After our visit to the cliffs we will journey through The Burren National Park, an area of great beauty dominated by glaciated karst landscape, unique to Ireland with lots of rare orchids and plants. -We will return to Killarney via Limerick and the pretty thatched village of Adare. Option to visit fifteenth century Bunratty Castle and Folk-park en route. Option to be dropped off in Galway.
