Day 1 - Killarney National Park is a UNESCO biosphere reserve of 26, 000 acres with many hidden gems. Known for its 3 lakes and the highest mountain in Ireland, it has many beautiful attractions which we will explore. Day 2 - Dingle which is a beautiful colourful town with quirky shops and some great restaurants serving the best of seafood. Explore Slea Head Drive to the west where some of the filming of 'Ryan's Daughter', Star Wars & Far & Away took place. There are amazing views onto the Blasket Islands in the Atlantic ocean, & they say on a day with good visibility you can see the statue of liberty! You will hear all about my childhood summers spent here learning 'gaelic' as this is one of the few parts of Ireland where people speak it. Visit Gallarus Oratory and Kilmalkedar & hear about St Brendan's voyage. . . he discovered America before Columbus. Return via the Connor Pass & Camp with stunning views of Tralee Bay.
Day 1 -Explore Killarney National Park. Drive to Ladies View, taking in the stunning vies of the lakes. Visit Torc Waterfall, Muckross Gardens, Muckross Abbey, Ross Castle, Killarney House and Gardens, Knocreer, Killarney Gof Club, Aghadoe and the Gap of Dunloe. Day 2 - Depart Killarney in the morning and travel via the southern coast of the Dingle Peninsula towards 'Inch' beach where we will have our first stop. -Continue westwards along the coast for a time with stunning views of the Ring of Kerry across the Bay. -Then veer inland and pass through some very colourful villages on our way to the fishing port of Dingle. -Stop and visit of Dingle and then on towards the most dramatic of the days scenery at 'Slea Head Drive'. -Visit to 'Gallarus Oratory' and Kilmalkedar before continuing on our return journey via the Connor pass with stunning views onto Tralee Bay.
