Your are most welcome to Ireland . I was raised on the world Famous Ring of Kerry , our family front door, overlooks the Skellig (Star Wars) in the Wild Atlantic Way . Our next city was New York or so they say . I qualified as a Montessori teacher and now hold a degree in Early Childhood Care and Education. Having worked for over 30 years in the Childcare profession. I am a qualified professional driver and an approved tour guide . I now want to share this great country with fellow travelers, from all over the world . During a guided tour with me, you can expect to share a brief history of this land . Observe the Natural History , the shape of the countryside along the Wild Atlantic Way and Ancient East of Ireland . We will visit country houses such as Muckross House and the wonderful gardens like Powerscourt . A visit to Ireland would not be complete without exploring many of its historic ruins . Last but not least enjoy the taste of Ireland from land and sea . I am a fluent speaker and teacher of the Gaelic Language , qualified in arts and crafts , knitting is my preferred craft and if you would like to learn the basic knitting stitches on tour, please let me know . Overview of your Killarney tour
The Dingle Peninsula with its rugged Atlantic coastline and is scattered with forts, dry stone walls, and prehistoric huts such as the Gallarus Oratory. Irish heritage is maintained in this Irish (Gaelic) speaking region including traditional music. As a Gaelic speaker and teacher myself, I'll be able to provide insight into Dingle's culture. Dingle is famous for its spectacular scenery, the peninsula also supports both a rare and unique assortment of flora and fauna. Slea Head is the most westerly point in Europe, looking towards America. There are splendid views around Slea Head, especially of the Blasket Islands and the scattered rocks. The Great Blasket island was evacuated in the 1950's, and produced a number of books in Irish - a best-seller, translated as 20 Years A Growing by Maurice O' Sullivan, and a masterpiece, The Island man by Thomas O'Crohan. In this century some 60 books, mostly in Irish, have been written in the immediate area. Come see these wonderful places and learn about the culture!

Our multigenerational group of 5 booked a 2 day tour with Annie. Annie's van is super comfortable and was able to accommodate all of our luggage plus a golf bag. We had been at a family wedding in Kilkenny and Annie was kind enough to incorporate a pick-up there. We felt in very safe hands on the small roads with Annie as she is also a large coach driver. Annie went out of her way to include events tailored to our interests - we love dogs and she arranged a border collie sheep-herding demonstration which was a highlight! She also went out of her way to find a specific fish (John Dory) for us as well as arrange a taxi for the early morning of our departure. We were able to travel on roads in Dingle where large coaches are not allowed. The beauty was unbelievable!! The 88-year-old matriarch of our family (Grams) especially bonded with Annie and the two shared many fun stories!!

Amazing tour, even in the changing weather (wind, rain, sun). We were interested in nature with a bit of shopping. Annie delivered! We saw amazing landscapes, went to beaches, saw wildflowers, and got some shopping in at Dingle. While driving us, Annie told us stories about the landscape, pointed out areas of interest, and gave us plenty of opportunities for photos. Excellent driver!
