I live close to the beautiful town of Killarney. I qualified with a BA(hons) at the National University of Ireland - University College Cork. By studying History and Geography locally, I have lots of extra local knowledge to share with guests on my tours. I completed my masters (MSc) in Dublin, so have also spent time in our capital city. I am married with 2 children, and have 20 years experience in tourism throughout Ireland. I have guided for many world famous tour companies, from student groups to VIP tours. For the last 5 years I have been a tour guide in my local area, and love guiding private tours and ensuring everyone has a great time. The most important thing for me is that everyone who joins my tour has a great time. The great thing about a private tour, is that you can decide how much information and commentary you wish me to share with you, but I am equally happy for us to relax and listen to some great Irish music! I am happy to adapt the tour to reflect your interests and requirements! As we travel together on the tour, I am always happy to make as many stops as you wish, for photos or to just to get out and stretch the legs! I find it is the stops that were not planned that are often the most enjoyable! My local knowledge means I can often recommend hidden gems along the route, making your tour even more special! Three great days in Southern Ireland! This tour can be adapted to start and finish at any location in the South of Ireland, or you can join me from Dublin by taking a train! We spend three days together visiting your choice of locations, such as Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Cliffs of Moher or Blarney and Cork!

Mike is an outstanding guide! He provided our group of six with three wonderful days traveling across Ireland. He provided great communications and fantastic suggestions. Our tour was fantastic and Michael was truly a terrific guide!! He was incredibly knowledgeable about what we were seeing, and was able to give us historical information about sites and the country as a whole. We really enjoyed our tour of Southwest Ireland with Michael. His knowledge of history, the local places we saw and current Irish life was amazing. We stayed in Cork and he arranged tours of Kerry, Dingle, Kilkenny, Blarney, and Cobh. He really knows how to navigate the Irish roads. Above all his personality and engagement with our group of 6 made the tour go way beyond the normal tour experience. We highly recommend Michael for any tour you are considering. Day 1: Meet at Killarney train Station, Kerry airport or anywhere in the Killarney area!. Spend the day exploring the Killarney National Park, including Torc Waterfall, Ross Castle, Muckross House and the Lakes of Killarney. Day 2: Ring Of Kerry: enjoy the most famous drive in Ireland, along the Atlantic coast, including the Skellig Loop. We will have numerous photo-stops and will take some extra scenic drives along the way. Day 3: Dingle: spend a wonderful day exploring the Dingle Penninsula, including the Slea Head loop. After a relaxed lunch, we make our way to Killarney! spend another night in this great town or take a train onwards to Dublin or Cork.
