Hi there, my name is Sean a Corkman born and bred with Kerry ancestry and lived for a time in Boston Massachusetts, U. S. A. I have a great passion for Ireland's history, scenery , people, sport and music . I guess you could say im about as Irish as they come what with the red hair , a grandfather who played a significant role in The Irish War of Independence and a real love for Ireland and its people. Ive been a tour guide for the last number of years now. All my tours are adaptable to include any requested destination and indeed ive often done tours comprising of places that the customer has picked out themselves. I look forward to hearing from you and be assured that on my tours you will be made welcome and a little music en route will all add to your experience of touring this majestic Irish homeland. I am a fully certified driver with the Irish National Transport Authority who is Garda vetted(Police vetted) and i also hold a TEFL ( Teach English as a Foreign Language) certificate,this ensures that my speech is clear and my diction easy to understand for those on my tours. Many tourists with a little command of the English language have expressed their thanks at the way i delivered my tour trying my best to make sure they understood all the information i have to impart about our beautiful country. There are certain destinations on tour e.g.Blarney Castle or Charles Fort,Kinsale where an admission fee might be needed and i will not be guiding inside,i normally let the customers proceed on their own at this point.

Visit the iconic Blarney Castle, kiss the legendary Blarney Stone before relaxing on your private guided tour of the stunning gardens and grounds.On then to the historic town of Cobh with all its history and folklore, last port of call of Titanic and where many an emigrant ship departed from.In the afternoon regal Kinsale with all her beauty will round off a memorable day on tour. Along the way we will listen to some of Irelands most famous ballads as we meander our way through the city and county. At the end of the tour you will have sensational photographs to remember your visit to our magnificent county. I can take photos of your group as we stop at the famous landmarks in the south. Having completed the National Tour Guide Certification and a promise that i will be doing the tour myself,you are guaranteed an accredited National Tour Guide as your driver. We had two fantastic tours with Sean Houlihan to Blarney Castle/Cork and Cobh/Kinsale. Sean took great care of us making sure we were always in the right place, kept the pace going so we could maximize our time and see as much beautiful scenery as possible in Ireland. In addition he played local folk music based on historical time periods that helped fill time on the tour in between destinations. What we felt unique was how much history we learned from Sean about Ireland but primarily dating back to the Irish revolution from Britain in the early 1900's. Overall, it was a great experience we highly recommend for anyone looking for a tour guide in the Cork City area. Sean is the best!

Sean was a great tour guide. As we traveled to the beautiful port town of Cobh, Sean shared information about the Irish struggle for independence and pointed out areas along the way that told parts of the story. We did the Titanic tour in Cobh, toured the 911 memorial, saw the beautiful town of Kinsale, overlooked the sea near Charles Fort and spent a wonderful day in spite of the rain learning more about Ireland and how we fit into the larger story as descendants of people who endured and risked so much to give us the life we have today.
