This tour takes you to Blarney Castle near Cork City, world-famous for the legendary Blarney Stone. According to Irish folklore, kissing the stone bestows the “gift of the gab”, the ability to speak with charm and eloquence. The visit also includes time to enjoy the beautiful Blarney Castle Gardens. The journey continues to the historic Blarney Woollen Mills, built in 1823. Once an important centre for spinning and weaving wool, it is now a well-known Irish heritage store offering a wide selection of traditional goods. From there, the tour heads to the picturesque town of Kinsale, with a stop at the impressive Charles Fort. You’ll have free time to enjoy a light lunch or refreshments in one of the town’s many pubs or restaurants, followed by a leisurely walk through Kinsale’s colourful streets, galleries, and craft shops. The day concludes with a walkabout in the charming harbour town of Cobh.
