I am a full time driver / guide with almost 25 years experience giving Private Tours around my native city and surrounding counties. Prior to that my wife and I had a pub in the Shandon area of the city, in the shadow of Saint Anne's Church where you can hear the famous bell's ring out. My interest are travel , we have traveled to many exotic places around the world and while traveling to these destinations and taking tours by local guides , gave me a taste to share what I know about my city . I also love history, walking, music and poetry and of course my dogs Zeus and Cosmo. Booking a Private Tour is a great way to see a region. I would love the opportunity to take you on adventure around Cork sharing with you its rich history and some amazing architecture. We'll have plenty of opportunities to stretch our legs and take some photos as I highlight the features of each spot. So if you like to explore Ireland's ancient east , the Wild Atlantic Way, or wherever you want to visit, seeing and hearing stories and places only a local would know, I welcome question's as I love sharing my knowledge . I am fully insured and Garda (police) vetted. I am not restricted access to any of the Historical or Heritage sites. However, State owned sites that have got their own guide's giving tour's such sites we'll fall in with their guided tour's.

A full-day private driving tour from Cobh - Blarney Castle and Cork City
Overview of your Cork tour
As a local I'll take you to places that are close to my heart. We'll go to where the tour buses can't go and as a local you'll hear stories only a local would know. We'll visit all the main attractions Cork from the Blarney Castle home to the famous Blarney Stone. We’ll visit Cork City taking in Saint Anne's Shandon, then down town to the English Market and followed by a visit to Saint Finbarr's Cathedral. Leaving Cork City behind us our next stop is Jameson Distillery in Midleton here you can take in a whiskey tour or settle for a whiskey tasting. After Jameson Distillery our next stop is the Kindred Spirited Monument. This monument honours the Choctaw Nations donation to Irish famine relief back in 1847. To round off a wonderful day out, before returning to your ship, we'll take in a tour of the town of Cobh.
Your Cork tour itinerary
-After collection we'll leave Cobh and enjoy a pleasant drive to Blarney. -Here we will visit Blarney Castle and it's famous Blarney Stone. -Take time and walk around it's beautiful garden's explore The Lake , the water features and it's wild life. -After the castle we cross over to Blarney woollen Mills. "The Largest Irish Store in the world. " -We'll depart Blarney for Cork City. Here we'll visit Shandon, Danny Linehen's sweet shop , The English Market and St. Finbarr's Cathedral. - Time for lunch. -We'll leave Cork for Midleton here we’ll visit Jameson Distillery, you can take in a whiskey tour or settle for a tasting. - After the Jameson we visit The Kindred Spirits monument in Midleton. -We'll leave Midleton drive back to Cobh taking in a tour of the town before returning to your ship.
