Cork city full of history, full of life. I love this city which considers itself the capital. It has its own buzz and pride of place. Come walk by the River Lee with me. Stroll through the English Market, a market fit for a queen, listen to the musical Cork accents and talk to the locals. Gaze at the remains of the old medieval walls and visit the Huguenot quarter and much more. . . . Relax and have a glass of Guinness or Murphy's!
Helena is really nice and very knowledgeable. We had a great time and learned a lot. We love Cork! Thanks so much
Very nice tour with Helena. She is very knowledgeable and good at giving background information in order to understand the historical context of the places that we visited. We felt that we had seen or visited most of the important historical sites in Cork and it gave us some good ideas were to go in the following several days that we were going to be in the city. Definitely recommend.
Helena was very knowledgeable and we learnt a great deal about Cork and its history and very much enjoyed the tour
Helena was great. Her knowledge of Cork’s history, culture, music, cuisine, education and geography was very impressive. It was a perfect way for us to learn about Cork.
We had a wonderful time on this tour! We saw a lot of the city and Helena was super friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great day, highly recommended.
Helena was a charmer. She was flexible with our tour and very patient as she provided suggestions on getting from the cruise port at Cobh to Cork. There is a train alongside the cruise ship and it takes you to the center of Cork. Helena managed to keep us moving even though there was a major marathon (20,000 runners!) going on that morning which blocked our access to some streets. We walked ALOT and got to see a lot of territory. We needed to make a specific gift purchase and Helena pointed us to the right place. She also took us away from the post marathon drinking crowd to a quieter pub for a pint and a traditional Irish lunch. She told great stories, had a commanding knowledge of all things Cork, and won our hearts. She kept us on schedule as we had a 2pm train to catch back to Cork as our ship left at 4pm.
Meet at your hotel or at a suitable location within the city and stroll through the streets of this very historical city. Cork likes to think of itself as the 'capital' of Ireland. Well known for its wonderful food, easy chat and musical accents Cork is a delight to be explored. This tour can be customised to suit your needs if you have any special interests. If breaks are required we will take them. I would love to introduce you to this historic city in the south of Ireland.
