Born and raised in County Kerry in the Southwest of Ireland, now living in Killarney, I have lived and worked in the midst of the visitors to Ireland as both a musical entertainer and trusted local Garda Sergeant of the police force of Ireland (An Garda Siochana). My passion for the culture, deep history, folklore and raw beauty of Killarney, County Kerry and Ireland, led me to guide tour here solely so I could share this amazing land, that I am lucky enough to call home, with you. For an idea of the range of tours I provide, I invite you to click on "View All Tours" to explore the tours and see my calendar of availability. I enjoy providing fully personalized chauffeured tours bearing in mind your particular interests such as historical sites, desire to trace your Irish roots, spiritual points of interest, food and drink preferences, musical tastes, and general activity level. While I ensure your safety, security and comfort throughout your private tour traveling in a class of true luxury you won't find on a self-drive holiday or bus, you will set the pace. It will be "Your Tour - Your Trail"™. No rushing to the next stop if you would like to linger. Want to take a break from the hustle/bustle of your vacation to find a quiet spot for a cup of coffee or a genuine Irish Whiskey? Perhaps you'll see a spot you'd like to stop for that special keepsake or you want to search for that perfect place to take unique photographs to remember your Irish adventure. As an avid photographer of nature and wildlife, I am happy to help you capture the beauty of my homeland. All photos displayed by me here on ToursByLocals and my website, including each and every photo on my individual tour pages, I personally took in the wonderful locations I will be able to share with you. I never use stock photos, never "borrow" from other sources or photo shop and crop. My priority and passion is sharing with you a genuine Irish experience encompassing both the natural beauty and immense, fascinating history of Ireland. As you peruse my offered tours, keep in mind I can often reverse directions should you be arriving or departing from other locations. And while human nature often compels us to seek detailed, sometimes hourly listed itineraries when choosing both tours and guides, my professional experience and feedback from guests over the years has confirmed it is often best to simply choose one of my proven tours, using your desired dates and arrival locations, and leave what happens from start to finish to how you feel upon arrival. Not over-planning every moment of your vacation will make it memorable, relaxing and truly enjoyable. Each of my executive class touring vehicles provide the perfect harmony of luxury and touring functionality and are fully insured for commercial passenger use and transport (a requirement if carrying passengers in Ireland and something you should ensure before you tour with anyone). I simply don't cut corners as I feel your safety, security and comfort should not be left to chance on the winding, often narrow, roads of Ireland. The word "luxury" is oft overused, however, I provide truly premium, executive-class transportation in meticulously maintained vehicles with amenities that neither plain vans or minibus for hire class vehicles, nor someone's "daily driver" sedan, can provide. I will ensure the premium tour you book with me is the tour you want and get. After all, this is your hard-earned vacation and it should be "Your Tour - Your Trail"™ from start to finish. Join me for a privately guided and chauffeured day, one of my specialty tours, multi-day tours or an entire week! Leave the driving and worry to me. Simply sit back and relax on the Wild Atlantic Way, in the Ancient East or beyond. I look forward to showing you the green, rolling fields and jagged cliffs of this magnificent land, but I do highly suggest you make your bookings early to secure your preferred dates and tours with me. Whether you choose this season or the next, you won't be disappointed. * Failte Ireland Approved Tour Guide Official Irish Tourist Board * Failte Ireland Customer Service Excellence Award Holder * Member of the Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society * 30 years service as member Police Force of Ireland * Sli na Slainte Irish Walking Leader * FETAC Level 6 Diploma in Marine & Country Guiding Regional Local Guide * FETAC Level 5 Diploma in Occupational First Aid * Fully Vaccinated Covid 19 * Holder of required Driver's Licenses, including Small Public Service Vehicles (SPSV) from Irish Nat'l Transport Authority * Member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) * My luxury vehicles are fully insured for commercial, passenger service, are meticulously maintained both inside and out, and of a caliber unmatched by rental class vans or cars.
