Hi! I’ve been living in Ireland since 2013, and over time I’ve fallen in love with this country just as much as my home country, Venezuela. I really enjoy sharing what I’ve discovered along the way—not just the history and culture, but also some great local pubs and places to eat around Cork City. I now live in Cobh, which I’m proud to call home. While it’s known for its beautiful views and colourful streets, there’s so much more to it. Cobh has a rich and fascinating history, especially its connections to the Titanic and the Lusitania, which make it a very special place to explore. In my free time, I love painting, writing, travelling, and making music. I also enjoy translating books and documents about Irish history—it’s a lovely way to keep learning and stay connected to the culture. I’ve been working in tourism since I moved to Ireland, guiding both small and large groups. In 2021, I became an accredited tour guide here. I speak English, Spanish, and French fluently, and I’ve had the opportunity to guide people from all over the world, as well as locals. I truly enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing perspectives—it’s always such a rewarding experience. One of my favourite things about guiding is that I’m always learning something new too.

Cork is a city that truly lives up to its many nicknames, none more deserved than the “Food Capital of Ireland.” Thanks to its rich farmland and thriving local producers, the city boasts an exceptional food scene where fresh, high-quality ingredients take centre stage. Compact and wonderfully walkable, Cork invites us to explore it step by step, discovering not only its flavours but also the stories that have shaped it. Along the way, we’ll dip into a variety of carefully chosen spots, each offering a taste of the city’s culinary identity and vibrant culture. As someone who loves seeking out new dishes and unforgettable flavours, I’ve curated a selection of places where you can enjoy everything from local favourites to exciting new tastes—perfect for anyone looking to learn more, eat and drink. The tastings typically feature products from the English Market, fresh, locally sourced farm produce, fish and seafood chowder, hearty Irish lamb stew, local and craft beers, great desserts, and more!
