Overview of your Darjeeling tour
Welcome to complete experience of "Darjeeling Town", a tour that will last from dusk to dawn, that will connect you with my roots and will reveal you all hidden treasures Darjeeling has. From the majestic views of the Worlds Highest peaks with mesmerizing sunrise to witnessing the processing of The Greatest Tea (Darjeeling Tea) and explore the beauties of Tea Garden and life in The Himalayas. We will enjoy the 8km of joy ride on a UNESCO World Heritage Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Since 1881) and later we will stop at Buddhist Monastery where will learn bit about Buddhism and refresh your inner self. At the Observatory Hill you will witness two major faiths (Hindu and Buddhist ) worshipping same deity as one, which makes Darjeeling even more unique: Unity in Diversity. I will accompany you during a walk around the town, where you can have an experience of The Himalayan Life and end a day with picturesque Sunset from Mall Road with a sip of Darjeeling Tea.
Your Darjeeling tour itinerary
- Early morning at 3AM we will take a drive to Tiger Hill to see the sunrise. (Make sure to wear warm clothes). - Drive back to the hotel, and after breakfast take a Toy Train Ride from Darjeeling to Ghoom (8km). - Visit Ghoom Monastery (Yiga Choling monastery). - Drive back to hotel for an afternoon break - In the afternoon hours we will drive to Himalayan Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays) - Drive to Tibetan Refugee Centre - Excursion to Tukvar or Happy Valley Tea Garden and witness the processing of Darjeeling Tea. - Drive back to Town and take a walk for sunset at mall road and later drive or walk back to the hotel.
