Opportunities to hike, trek or to go for a pleasant strolls are scattered all over this planet; you just need to know where to find them and Singalila National Park is well known for the trekking route to Sandakphu that runs through it. Singalila National Park is an Alpine forest which has its two highest point known as Sandakphu (3636 mts) and Phalut (3600 mts) and the trek along the Singalila Ridge to Sandakphu and Phalut is one of the most popular ones in Eastern Himalayas. Border between India and Nepal is also a home for endangered species like Red Panda and its full of magical views of Mount Everest, Kanchandzonga, Makalu and Lotshe (four of Worlds Highest Peaks) and also for the seasonal wildflower blooms and birding is a life time experience. Its been a decade that I have been doing this trek, and every time I come back I always discover something new from what I have already experienced, remembered or known. Your Darjeeling tour itinerary
- Day 1 (Duration 6-7hrs) Drive from Darjeeling to Maneybhanjang 30 kms. Our Trek starts from Maneybhanjang to Tonglu/Tumling ( 3070mts ) trek via Chitre. Stay at Tonglu/ Tumling (Local Village) - Day 2 (Duration 5-6 hrs) Enjoy early morning view from Tonglu/Tumling, one can see the valleys of Nepal and plains of North Bengal with the snow fed Teesta river, and Koshi during clear day and later take a walk from Tonglu to Sandakphu. Overnight stay at Sandakphu - Day 3 (Duration 6-7hrs) Early morning take a walk to view point for sunrise and enjoy the panaromic view of The Himalayas and after breakfast take a walk to Phalut and later walk back to Sandakphu Overnight stay at Sandakphu local village - Day 4 The return to Maneybhanjang may be accomplished either in a day (4-6 hrs )or depending on the physical condition of the Trekkers or take a drive back. Every day after covering halfway we will stop for Lunch Break. - You will be accommodated in The House cabins This tour can be customized. Please inquire
