I was born and brought up in the land that is well quoted as "The Queen of Hills" and "The Land of Sheer Adventure" - Darjeeling ! also a brand name for the finest quality tea it produces and which is much priced and cherished by the tea-lovers' across the globe. Since the early days of my childhood, I was in deep love with the white mountains and would love to get lost into the nature with my friends. By the end of my higher education I also got myself trained and certified in mountaineer from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling and worked as a professional climbing guide for five years. During my guiding carrier, I would also love to share the simple yet challenging lifestyle and the cultural beliefs of the Himalayan people, and also could learn many interesting things from my guests who would be coming from different parts of the world. That's how I was more attracted to the tourism profession and also got myself in leading cultural tours. Now, I am an approved tourist guide by the Department of Tourism, Darjeeling, West Bengal and for the last 18 years I am leading organized cultural tours and adventure trips for the European and Asian tourists visiting my region i. e, Darjeeling, Sikkim and North-east India. During my tours, I involve my guests in experiential activities such as visit to a local village and interact with the locals, participating in their field activities and enjoying their local food. This, as a reward is enjoyed and appreciated by my clients with profound merits.
