On Spetses island, locals usually start their day in "Ntapia" area, having a coffee before going to work. "Ntapia" or "horseshoe" -this is what locals call it due to its shape!- is the center of Spetses Island. It used to be a meeting point for lords and captains during the period of the Greek Revolution of 1821. Today it is the favorite place of locals and travelers. It is also my favorite area to walk; no matter how many years I have had this habit, I am always enchanted by its simple beauty. The most amazing thing is how much history can a small place can hide!
