You will also meet with a mighty plane tree - we will make the first stop in a small picturesque village high in the mountains. Here you will see the ancient plane tree - it is already more than 2000 years old, and the circumference of the trunk reaches 20 girths! You will see the centuries-old Venetian laundry. After that we will go to the heart of Crete! Art of working with clay and traditional products tasting Meeting with Crete will be incomplete if we set aside such ancient traditions as pottery, winemaking and the production of olive oil. In the workshop you can try to work with a clay. You will taste Cretan wines and natural local family olive oil.

Landscapes and atmosphere of the Lassithi Plateau Moving further, through the mountains, we will arrive on a picturesque plateau, supposedly being the crater of an ancient volcano. This is an unusual place in the middle of the Dikti mountain range - like a patchwork of green and yellow fields, each of which is irrigated by its own windmill. The Lassithi Plateau is one of the most fertile places in Crete, it fascinates with its saving coolness, picturesque villages and the hospitality of the locals. We will stop in a mountain village for lunch, an orange juice break and souvenirs. Then you will explore the stalactites and stalagmites in the cave Dikteon Andron, where, according to legend, Zeus was born. If you wish, you can ride a donkey. Leaving the Lassithi Plateau, you will see picturesque panorama of the province of Pediada.
