The French Riviera is not only a splendid seaside, but also and maybe mostly a gorgeous countryside where, for thousand of years most of the human activity was located. It's the legacy of that long history that i'm inviting you to discover with this tour. I will guide through the villages of the Loup valley, all different, all full of personality, and all fascinating. You will pass from village to village following one of the most scenic itinerary of the region, and each time I will do a guided visit of the site before giving you some free time to appreciate the charm of those jewels. Discover the military architecture of the Renaissance and the history of art with the strong hold of Saint Paul ; fall for the unique provencal charm of the medieval village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup and its craftsmen ; understand the traditional life of the countryside in Gourdon ; be amazed by the XVIth century central square of Valbonne. . . Here it's already Provence.
Guided visit and free time in each village. Saint-Paul, capital of arts and royal city of the Middle ages transformed during the Renaissance period into a strong hold. Drive through the scenic Loup valley Tourrettes-sur-Loup, typical provencal village filled with artisants, where you can enjoy a real provencal lunch. Drive through the ancient royal road and the dramatic Loup canyon. Gourdon, the famous eagle nest, where a nice local lunch will be an experience to remember. Drive by the mountain road and the olive gardens of Opio. Valbonne, "new" city of the XVIth century with its splendid arcade square, a place full of local charm and very international at the same time. Options on demand: Visit of an organic goat cheese farm Olive oil tasting Visit + wine tasting of a family estate Visit of a wildlife reserve with a safari
