Dear visitor welcome to France! I have covered many parts of the world but each time the plane flies over the mediterranean sea to land at the Nice airport, I feel I am so lucky to live in a real garden of Eden. You do not agree with me yet? Ok, hop on and fasten your seat belt: I am taking you along the scenic roads and paths of the region to dramatic landscapes, hidden perched medieval villages and all the highlights that made the French Riviera such a unique destination. I am graduate in literature from Nice University and after a long career in different airline companies, I decided to become a certified national Guide ten years ago to share with you my passion for this territory and guess what? Each day on tour is for me just like my very first day in this business. I would describe myself as an open-minded, flexible and humorous guide. I am very involved in the success of your vacation so I take with high consideration your requests and expectations. As the father of two little boys, I feel particularly comfortable with families. I am looking forward to greeting and showing you all the beauty and diversity of southern France. See you soon. Provence is the first region of France for wine production, the oldest also woth a tradition of 2600 years ! Less than one hour away from Cannes the "Green Provence" is also known as "the wine country". This is the area you will enjoy with a visit of two exceptional wineries followed each time by a wine tasting (included). Please not the visits are subject to wineries availabilities so alternative wineries are possible. You will also discover the incredible Sainte-Roseline chapel, located in the middle of an estate you will see the mummy of the XIVth century Saint. The drives through the vineyards are so picturesque that you will probably want to come back. Also, it will give me the opportunity to mention the american troups landing in Provence during WWII. I recommend a gastronomic provencal lunch in the dramatic Pennafort canyon, or in the medieval village of Les Arcs plus an optional visit of this charming place if time permits.
VISIT + WINE TASTING - Chateau d'Esclans : Wolrd famous for the whispering angel and the Garrus (the most expensive rosé wine in the world), it's a gorgeous estate located in the heart of Provence, at the entrance of the splendid Pennafort canyon. The wines are remarkable. - Font de Broc : Born from the imagination of a very successfull entrepreneur, this breathtaking estate is very known for the most beautiful wine cave of Provence, reproduction of a cistercian cave, absoloutly exceptional. The splendid wines are served in the best restaurants in France. - Optional visit of a third winery (not included): château Sainte-Roseline. VILLAGE Discover the picturesque medieval site of Le Parage, maybe the most beautiful one of the region ( only withe the 2 tastings option ). Visit the famous Sainte-Roseline chapel with the mummified body of the Saint, surrounded by famous artwork. LUNCH Several options are possible but I recommend a gastronomic lunch in one of the 3 exceptional restaurant of the area.
