ENJOY, RELAX, LEARN AND LIVE THE EXPERIENCE! Bonjour, I was born and grew up in Provence/Côte d'Azur. I've been a tour guide/driver since 2005. I live in Vence, the city of Matisse. I'm completely fluent in English (Master degree in English and English teacher & translator). Being a real local native helps a lot not only to know this area very well but also to create new tours and especially off the beaten track, my spécialité. Though I do classical tours and shore excursions, I love taking my guests to less known places (off the beaten track) where we explore another side and way of life, more authentic like some small villages in the mountains away from the tourist crowd. You'll have then a unique opportunity to visit a typical French home and meet some locals. I also offer : - customized 2-7 day tours as per your wishes (Provence, French Riviera). - Yacht charter. All my tours are available in winter. Please contact me for more details and I'll design the best possible tour. I was also a teacher (French, English, History) and I love sharing and speaking about local and French culture, wine and gastronomy, art, history, travelling. . . One of my passions is photography and I can give you some good hints to take the most beautiful pictures. I took all the pictures here. You really enjoy each stop, take time to explore and learn, all my tours are customized to meet your needs at every step, great sense of humour is a must. I want my guests to relax, enjoy each minute, have fun and bring back excellent memories. So please feel free to tell me what you expect, like and don't like. I drive a 9 seater a/c very comfortable vehicle. Please note I don't take more than 8 people to Monaco. For the other tours I can hire a driver with a 15 seat minibus (quote on request). I look forward to welcoming you in Provence-Côte d'Azur and sharing a great experience. . . I've got a Master degree in English language and Anglo-American civilisation. I was a translator and a teacher of English, French, History for 30 years. I also worked in five star hotels in France and England. I am not a licensed guide and will not be able to guide you inside of the historical monuments.

Overview of your Nice tour

Being a local native born in this area, I know so well those beautiful roads among the vineyards where I used to ride my bicycle when I was younger. This tour is a fantastic opportunity to visit some famous wineries in Le Muy area (we visit 3 different wineries), have wonderful wine tasting, visit an old wine cellar from the Middle Ages and lunch in a winery Chateau from the 18th century. It's about 1h15 from Nice. We are in the Rosé wine area, the best in France (Côte de Provence). But we also make White and Red of course. Even if you are not a wine expert, you'll enjoy this trip so much. Just imagine the endless vineyards under our beautiful sun, beautiful gardens, old Château. . . You can of course buy some wine and other local specialties like olive oil, honey, terrines, jams. If you have any specific questions or interest, please feel free to send me a message. We had a wonderful day touring Provence wine country with Jean-Francois. He picked 2 additional wineries to visit on top of one we chose ourselves. He was very knowledgable about the wineries and their histories. The transportation van was comfortable and spacious and Jean-Francois allowed us to sit back and relax and enjoy the passing scenery without distraction. The tour day was lots of fun and our guide was friendly and kind. I definitely recommend this tour and guide.

Your Nice tour itinerary

10:00 am we leave from Nice area and drive about 1h15 to the wine country in the Var region. Guided visit of an old wine cellar, wine tasting, lunch in the same Chateau. In the afternoon we have 2 other guided visits. Back to Nice around 5:00 pm
