Hello! My name is Marina! A friend I met on the plane to Brazil calls me "the little explorer. " I think she's right! I am passionate about travel, nature, art, and architecture, drawn to everything that is different from me, everything that is foreign and unknown. Twenty years ago, thanks to the international exchange program Erasmus, I discovered France and immediately fell in love with it. After completing my undergraduate studies in Rome, I seized the opportunity to pursue art history studies at the renowned Ecole du Louvre in Paris. I arrived in Paris full of hope and with the determination to stay! And so, between ups and downs, love and challenges, I spent 13 years in the most romantic capital in the world. I knew Paris like the back of my hand, but as I love adventure, discovering new places, and embracing new challenges, I made the decision to move to the south of France, to Nice, the city where my two best friends from Paris had relocated! Nice was a heartwarming experience for me! I felt like I was back in my hometown, Formia, nestled between the sea and the mountains, just like Nice. As soon as I unpacked my bags in my new apartment, I said to myself, "Why didn't I move here sooner?" The architecture, colors, mild climate, vegetation, blue sky, sea, and mountains - everything reminds me of Italy at every moment. I feel like I'm enjoying the best of both cousin countries! So I started anew here, and even though it's not always easy, all I have to do is look at the horizon of the sea to remind myself of these encouraging words from Victor Hugo: "The horizon underlines the infinite!" There are a thousand and one possibilities in every moment of life, and with each passing moment, I want to open up my life more and more, live intensely, and savor every emotion. Overview of your Nice tour
Le Vieux Nice or the « Old Nice » is the iconic district where the Italian art and architecture, reminiscent of the city's volatile past, remain still very tangible. When I walk in the old Nice I always remember the feeling that I had discovering this wonderful city! Coming from Paris where I lived for 13 years "Le vieux Nice" appears to me as a little Italian village with its narrow streets, the buildings painted in pastel colours, the ice cream shops, the Italian restaurants . . . That was just a surprising, wonderful discovery for a mediterranean person like me, that used to live in the gray, beige and black colours of the cold Paris. I remember that I thought : " why didn't I moved here before ?" Strolling around, you'll discover the ever-unpredictable history of Nice, a city, by its external appearance with no or very little equivalent in the rest of France. The narrow streets of the congested Old City center—a legacy from its medieval origins—and its typical architecture with mixed styles.

- Meeting point near the Apollon Fountain in Place Massena. - From there we will walk to the Opera house and the flowers markets where, if you like, you can test some of the food speciality - For the next stop we'll go to have a look at the beautiful Promenade. Strolling around the narrow streets we'll see the Cathedral of Saint Reparata, the "Palais Lascaris" and the memorial at the niçoise heroine, Catherine Segurane. - We end the tour at Place Garibaldi, the Italian hero.
