ENJOY, RELAX, LEARN AND LIVE THE EXPERIENCE! Bonjour, I was born and grew up in Provence/Côte d'Azur. I've been a tour guide/driver since 2005. I live in Vence, the city of Matisse. I'm completely fluent in English (Master degree in English and English teacher & translator). Being a real local native helps a lot not only to know this area very well but also to create new tours and especially off the beaten track, my spécialité. Though I do classical tours and shore excursions, I love taking my guests to less known places (off the beaten track) where we explore another side and way of life, more authentic like some small villages in the mountains away from the tourist crowd. You'll have then a unique opportunity to visit a typical French home and meet some locals. I also offer : - customized 2-7 day tours as per your wishes (Provence, French Riviera). - Yacht charter. All my tours are available in winter. Please contact me for more details and I'll design the best possible tour. I was also a teacher (French, English, History) and I love sharing and speaking about local and French culture, wine and gastronomy, art, history, travelling. . . One of my passions is photography and I can give you some good hints to take the most beautiful pictures. I took all the pictures here. You really enjoy each stop, take time to explore and learn, all my tours are customized to meet your needs at every step, great sense of humour is a must. I want my guests to relax, enjoy each minute, have fun and bring back excellent memories. So please feel free to tell me what you expect, like and don't like. I drive a 9 seater a/c very comfortable vehicle. Please note I don't take more than 8 people to Monaco. For the other tours I can hire a driver with a 15 seat minibus (quote on request). I look forward to welcoming you in Provence-Côte d'Azur and sharing a great experience. . . I've got a Master degree in English language and Anglo-American civilisation. I was a translator and a teacher of English, French, History for 30 years. I also worked in five star hotels in France and England. I am not a licensed guide and will not be able to guide you inside of the historical monuments.

Overview of your Cannes tour

You're staying in this area (Nice,Antibes,Cannes), this excursion takes you to the Western part of the French Riviera (NOT MONACO), which is quite different from the Eastern part. I'll pick you at your hotel at 9. 00 am, back at 17. 00. We drive into the beautiful country side, drive a spectacular canyon all the way to Gourdon (medieval up-hill village), the views are unbelievable. Grasse and a perfume factory where you get a free visit and try on different perfumes. Tourrettes sur Loup, one of my favorite villages, so charming and quaint, a photography paradise. Saint Paul, so famous for its art, beautiful little streets, very elegant. You will for sure enjoy this very nice mix of sea shore, country side and mountains, water fall, high cliffs, magnificent nature and pretty villages. ON THIS TOUR WE DO NOT GO TO MONACO/MONTE CARLO

I wanted to see ancient villages, no cathedrals or museums - and Jean-Francois delivered beautifully. He was on time, knowledgeable, very personable, and speaks very good English. He drove us to medieval hill villages of Mougins, Tourrettes, St Paul de Vence plus others all in one day - places that would have taken us several days to get to on our own. Parking being an issue in some areas, he conveniently dropped us off. Highly recommended to newbies in the Provence and French Riviera areas.

Jean-Francois was delightful on our tour of St Paul de Vence, Gourdon and our perfume blending experience in Grasse. My daughter was a bit nervous of heights, and his teasing was a great distraction for her as we drove up to Gourdon. I would certainly use Jean-Francois again.

Jean Francois was lovely to communicate with before, during and after our journey. He was open to suggestions and amendments to our itinerary, made things accessible for my older mother during the trip and allowed for small breaks during the day so my husband could take lots of photos. We absolutely loved our journey with him and would recommend him highly. He's kind, knows a lot about the area and takes you to a lot of hidden gems in the country side. This tour is very special and we really loved it.
