Welcome to the Côte d'Azur ! I'm Miaki and I have been a licensed guide by the French government (guide conférencier) for several years. I love travelling and meeting people to share my passion and spend great moments together! The French Riviera is known for its beautiful beaches, local markets, picturesque old towns and fancy places surrounded by celebrities. Many artists such as Chagall, Matisse, Renoir and Picasso came to the south for a winter retreat and they were immediately attracted by its abundant colors and sunshine... I personally have travelled worldwide, though I am now settled in my beloved Nice which keeps pulling me in. As an experienced guide, I can adjust the tours depending on your interests or even make an original tour to fit your needs. My motto is to make your stay unique and priceless. I simply love to see people happy at the end of their tour :) Please feel free to contact me and let's have a worthwhile experience with me!

You must have heard “Cannes Film Festival” at least once in your life. Cannes actually hosts numerous international festivals throughout the year, which makes the city popular among celebrities, business leaders and tourists from all over the world. It is a perfect destination for the jet-set but also for history lovers! Behind its bling-bling facade, you’ll find picturesque narrow streets with pastel coloured houses in the old town, and all these hidden corners tell its history. One of my favourite spots is the lookout point atop the Suquet, which offers a stunning view of the iconic Croisette street and the Mediterranean sea! From there you can also overlook the Lérins Islands which flourished in Roman times and recall the fascinating history of Cannes from Antiquity through the Middle Ages to the present day. This tour is ideal for those who want to both discover the glorious face of Cannes as well as go behind the curtain!
-After we've met, our route will go as follows: -We'll head to Palais des Expositions et des Congrès, famous for its red carpet. -Next, we'll walk through Liberté path by the port of Cannes where you can find the statue of Lord Brougham and the City Hall. -Afterwards, we'll stroll through Meynadier street, a must-see landmark of Cannes lined with various souvenir shops. -Later, you will discover the Suquet, the old town of Cannes with its panoramic view over the city. -Atop the old town, you can visit Notre Dame d’Esperance and its clock tower. -At last, we’ll come back to the city centre and finish our tour. Like every ToursByLocals tour, this one is of course customisable too, so contact me clicking on "Message Miaki" to discuss this further. Note: This tour doesn't include a stop for lunch, but if you'd like to factor that in please let me know. Otherwise I'll be happy to suggest some nice local restaurants for the best Mediterranean cuisine.
