Welcome to the Côte d'Azur ! I'm Miaki and I have been a licensed guide by the French government (guide conférencier) for several years. I love travelling and meeting people to share my passion and spend great moments together! The French Riviera is known for its beautiful beaches, local markets, picturesque old towns and fancy places surrounded by celebrities. Many artists such as Chagall, Matisse, Renoir and Picasso came to the south for a winter retreat and they were immediately attracted by its abundant colors and sunshine... I personally have travelled worldwide, though I am now settled in my beloved Nice which keeps pulling me in. As an experienced guide, I can adjust the tours depending on your interests or even make an original tour to fit your needs. My motto is to make your stay unique and priceless. I simply love to see people happy at the end of their tour :) Please feel free to contact me and let's have a worthwhile experience with me!

Who said Cannes is only famous for its film festival? Absolutely not! From its origins as a fishing village, Cannes has always attracted locals and visitors with its fresh Mediterranean fishes, regional produce and colourful vegetables bathed in the strong sunshine. With just a taste, you'll certainly be addicted to chickpea galette Socca and courgette flower fritters, which are freshly made in the market in the historic district of Cannes, and which are also my personal favourites. Just a few steps from the market, I'll take you to an emblematic cellar run by 3 generations where you'll get to enjoy a unique wine tasting. Last but not least, you will see that the local shop owners on the iconic Meynadier street are so passionate about their products that you'll discover a variety of specialties while enjoying a nice conversation with them. I guarantee that you'll have a Palm d'Or gastronomic experience with me!
-Once we've gathered, our route will be as follows: -We'll head to Forville Market in the historic district of Cannes. -In the market, you'll taste some local specialities such as Socca, courgette flower fritters or Pissaladiere. -Afterwards, we'll visit Gencel wine cellar where you can taste 3 different types of wine accompanied with a cheese platter. -Later we'll stroll through Meynadier street, a must-see landmark of Cannes, for more tasting of the specialities from the South such as Limoncello, truffles or Calissons. -At last, you could enjoy some shopping and finish the tour in the city centre or at your hotel. Like every ToursByLocals tour, this one is of course customisable too, so contact me clicking on "Message Miaki" to discuss this further. Note: This tour doesn't include a stop for lunch, but if you'd like to factor that in please let me know. Otherwise I'll be happy to suggest some nice local restaurants for the best Mediterranean cuisine.
