My passion for guiding began long before I ever drove a traveller through the Riviera. I grew up watching my mother work as a multilingual guide at Fragonard, welcoming visitors from all over the world. Languages, stories, curiosity, they were simply part of our everyday life. Every summer, my family returned to our roots in Italy. Those memories, the sound of Italy, the food, the warmth and the slower rhythm of life, shaped my love for discovering new cultures. It also taught me something important: when you feel at home somewhere, you love to share it. Five years ago, I followed that path and became a driver-guide. Today, I introduce travellers to the hidden side of the Riviera: secret viewpoints in the mountains, quiet coastal villages and the authentic Italian towns of Ventimiglia, Dolceacqua, Bordighera and Sanremo. These are places I know by heart, and I love seeing the amazement on my guests’ faces when they discover them. Before guiding, I worked as a retail manager with my wife, meeting visitors from all over the world every day, and as passionate travellers ourselves, especially to the United States, we’ve always believed that sharing cultures brings people together. Guiding allows me to do exactly that. Every tour is an exchange, a story, a moment shared, and that’s what makes this job so meaningful to me.

Let’s stop by both the “capital of violets” & the “world capital of perfume”! One of the reasons why Grasse became synonymous with perfume is due to the Fragonard perfumery being founded there 100 years ago and remains active to this day. On the other hand, the perched medieval village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup was built on top of a rock where violets have grown for a century. And this isn’t the only French village built on top of a rock. So was the case of Gourdon, which is also known for its glass manufacturing. Gourdon is the last village before reaching the Alps, and its high location overlooking 80 km of coastline earned it the “eagles-nest” nickname. And besides Tourrettes-sur-Loup, we’ll explore another medieval village which is considered to be an art gallery itself. I’m talking about St Paul de Vence, “an old village which had the shape of a boat”, with intact fortified walls dating back to the mid-1500s.
-After picking you up from Cannes, we’ll first drive to the town of Grasse. -On arrival, we’ll proceed with a guided visit to the original Fragonard perfume factory. -After the visit, we’ll visit its museum which presents history of perfumery from Antiquity to present day. -Later, we’ll walk around Grasse’s old town, strolling along its famous pink umbrella street. -We’ll then reach the main Cathedral, which houses Rubens paintings (though it might be closed due to a ceremony on the day of your tour). -Afterwards, we’ll drive further north towards the mountains to reach Gourdon, where we'd pass by a glass manufacturing boutique and an award-winning gingerbread shop. -Following this, we’ll drive down and stop at an overlook point in Tourrettes sur Loup, from where we’ll marvel at the French Riviera landscape. -And last but not least, we’ll pass by Saint Paul de Vence, the Jewel of the French Riviera, where we’ll visit some art galleries and Marc Chagall’s grave. -Finally, we'll drive back to Cannes.
