Hello dear visitor and welcome to Nice and the French Riviera! My name is Yvonne and I am a Munich-born German. I always loved French culture and traditions and I studied them before deciding to move abroad 28 years ago. First to Turkey on the Aegean Coast for a short stay, and then to France on the French Riviera, where I worked at Nice International Airport in the ground handling department and where I had to deal with many guests and cultures. I really liked this human dimension and I always wanted to help travellers enjoy their stay in the region by giving them local tips and advice. Knowing that, I decided to change my professional direction and went back to study Art (especially 19th-century art) and Architecture at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis to become a licensed tour guide, leading in German, French and English. Moving to the French Riviera, I immediately fell in love with this region, with its golden light, the bold colours of its vegetation and picturesque villages filled with history and art; my favourite are Cannes, Antibes, Aix-en-Provence, Monaco and Saint-Paul de Vence, where I have been guiding for the last few years, always trying to create tailor-made itineraries off the beaten path with unique details and interesting anecdotes. My job is my true passion and I love to share it with my guests and to rediscover all these magnificent sites through their eyes again every single day. Visit Saint Paul de Vence, a wonderful medieval village where many of the great painters (Chagall, Matisse, Miro, Renoir) and artists have stayed and appreciate the charm of its stone architecture and its famous art galleries. Have a walk in Tourettes-sur-Loup, the city of violets, suspended on the flanks of the mountain, the outer houses of Tourettes appear to form a rampart. Numerous craftsmen have set up shops in the town, adding their production to the local harvest of olives, carnations, roses and above all, violets which furnish the town's annual celebration with one of the most prized floral displays on the Riviera Continue to Gourdon through the picturesque Loup Canyon. The village is built on the top of a rocky spur some 800m high, this veritable eagle's nest of a feudal village occupies a remarkable site overlooking the Riviera. Finish by Grasse which is a welcoming resort where the main industry today, as it has been for centuries, is perfume-making of which it is the World Capital
We were a group of six and had an amazing day with Yvonne. The tour she gave us was something that we would not have been able to do on our own - she understood our interests and around that she built a day of sites, history, villages, and markets and was flexible along the way. Her communication prior to and during our day was fantastic and she gave us tips for our last few days in the Nice area. I highly recommend her as a guide.
Sorry for the last post. Did this tour last Oct 2023. I love this tour. Yvonne drove me to different medieval villages and cities and we walked around these places and I fell in love with these quaint villages. Thank you Yvonne for sharing the history and stories of each town and villages. I love Cote d Azue and I'm planning to return next year 2025. I'll definitely book again with Yvonne when I return.

We asked to visit locations not on the usual tour, glass makers in Biot and The Matisse Rosary Chapel in Vence, and she was very accommodating in making this happen while keeping us on schedule and not missing the usual highlights of this tour.
