Hello dear visitor and welcome to Nice and the French Riviera! My name is Yvonne and I am a Munich-born German. I always loved French culture and traditions and I studied them before deciding to move abroad 28 years ago. First to Turkey on the Aegean Coast for a short stay, and then to France on the French Riviera, where I worked at Nice International Airport in the ground handling department and where I had to deal with many guests and cultures. I really liked this human dimension and I always wanted to help travellers enjoy their stay in the region by giving them local tips and advice. Knowing that, I decided to change my professional direction and went back to study Art (especially 19th-century art) and Architecture at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis to become a licensed tour guide, leading in German, French and English. Moving to the French Riviera, I immediately fell in love with this region, with its golden light, the bold colours of its vegetation and picturesque villages filled with history and art; my favourite are Cannes, Antibes, Aix-en-Provence, Monaco and Saint-Paul de Vence, where I have been guiding for the last few years, always trying to create tailor-made itineraries off the beaten path with unique details and interesting anecdotes. My job is my true passion and I love to share it with my guests and to rediscover all these magnificent sites through their eyes again every single day. Enjoy an unforgettable private tour of the French Riviera with me as your friendly and passionate personal guide. Avoid the crowds and explore the French Riviera as only locals do. Visit the cities and landscapes behind the sights from the old town of Nice to the glamorous Monaco. Discover Nice, the capital of the region and visit the cours Saleya and the old town. I will then drive you along the coastal road to take you to the medieval perched village of Eze. Photostop overlooking the Mediterranean Sea is of course included. You will then continue to Monaco and Monte-Carlo where to admire the Prince's Palace, the beautiful cathedral and the iconic casino. Naturally, your itinerary is fully personalized according to your mood, interests and preferences. At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to Cannes port of cruise terminal.
Yvonne gave us all we needed to see in the French Riviera. We covered everything! So many different towns and cultures, many stops for pictures and had some authentic French bakery items and foods. We even got to drive through Montecarlo and the raceway and visited the old town in Monaco and learned about the royalty. We had a great time with Yvonne and would highly recommend.
I also used a second guide, Sasha, on this tour to accommodate my group of 16. I rode in Sashsa's vehicle and was SO impressed with his love and knowledge about the entire region. He is an excellent guide and gave us a unique tour including an unexpected picnic that was perfect in every way! I give both Yvonne & Sasha 5+ stars each!
