Welcome!! I'm Muluken. I am professional experienced tour organizer/guide in Addis Ababa and Ethiopia. I am here to make your tour experience special. Please, read further below and know me better. I was born and grew up in Addis Ababa - where I completed my junior education. I studied Accounting and was graduated in Diploma from Mekelle University. I didn't, luckily, like my job for 7 months as an Accountant till I decided something social. Then, I studied Tour Operation and Travel Management at the Catering and Tourism Training Institute for two years and graduated in Diploma in 2004 with 'Distinctions' ranking. I worked as a permanent tour operator/guide for the next five years at two of the best known tour companies in Addis Ababa. From August 2009 on, I've been enjoying organizing city tours in Addis Ababa, day tours around Addis Ababa, and longer day private tours to the historical sites of Northern Ethiopia, and the cultural and natural sites of the Omo Valley of Southern Ethiopia. My best quality, I believe, is customizing private tours in Addis Ababa, and longer days tours in Ethiopia. In addition to living in Addis, and professional knowledge and years of experience I got, I am passionate for guiding. Tour guiding is not only my way of earning money, it is a passion I live for. On this 4-days with me from Addis Ababa you will get to experience unique culture, learn history, admire architecture, and feed wild hyenas by hand visiting the interesting stone walled city of Harar, East Ethiopia. Game drive in the beautiful Awash National Park. Harar was Muslim Capital of Ethiopia in the 16th Century AD. It is a stone walled town of about 1 square km but has 99 mosques in the enclosure. Harar is the 4th Holy City of Islam after Mecca, Madinah, and Jerusalem. Harar is listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. During this four days trip by driving, I will give you detailed information about the historical backgrounds and daily life at Harar. With a game drive in the Awash National Park, we will see Beisa Oryx, Crocodiles, Colobus Monkeys, and a lot more. Your Addis Ababa tour itinerary
Day 1 - Addis Ababa - Awash National Park Drive from Addis Ababa to Awash NP(5 hrs). Stop at the crater lake of Bishoftu (1 hr) and visit the villages of the Oromo people (1 hr). At Awash, walk for 30 to 45 minutes to enjoy the beautiful waterfalls of the Awash River. Day 2 - Awash NP - Harar Have game drive of 3 hours to see Beisa Oryx, Lesser Kudus, Gazelles, Warthogs, crocodiles, and various low land birds. In the afternoon, drive 275 km to Harar (5 - 6 hours). Day 3 - Full day tour of Harar Visit colorful multi-cultural market of the Harari (Adere), Oromo, and Amhara people. See the five gates and stone walls of Harar, shrines and mosques of Harar. Stop at the traditional house of the people of Harari (Adere). Visit the House of the famous late 19th French poet - Arthur Rimbaud In the evening visit the LIVE Hyena Man Show as he feeds wild hyenas by hand.
