I was born and grew up in Addis Ababa - where I completed my junior education. I studied Accounting and was graduated in Diploma from Mekelle University. I didn't, luckily, like my job for 7 months as an Accountant till I decided something social. Then, I studied Tour Operation and Travel Management at the Catering and Tourism Training Institute for two years and graduated in Diploma in 2004 with 'Distinctions' ranking. I worked as a permanent tour operator/guide for the next five years at two of the best known tour companies in Addis Ababa. From August 2009 on, I've been enjoying organizing city tours in Addis Ababa, day tours around Addis Ababa, and longer day private tours to the historical sites of Northern Ethiopia, and the cultural and natural sites of the Omo Valley of Southern Ethiopia. My best quality, I believe, is customizing private tours in Addis Ababa, and longer days tours in Ethiopia. In addition to living in Addis, and professional knowledge and years of experience I got, I am passionate for guiding. Tour guiding is not only my way of earning money, it is a passion I live for. Terrific trip. The highlights of the tour were the Tiya UNESCO sight and a nearby traditional coffee ceremony. The drive to them allowed us to better appreciate the heritage and culture of this diverse country. Muluken is a great guide who was able to weave visits to these sights with a narrative about Ethiopia and its people. Muluken is professional and personable and very knowledgeable about the country beyond Addis.

Our guide Muluken was there to pick us up from our guest house on time. The van was clean and in very good condition. Our day trip to the Rift Valley was smooth with lots of stops for photographs on the way. The guide was well versed with the history of the places we stopped at including all the extra information we probed him with our curiosity about Ethiopia, the villages we passed by, the geology, animals, economy, the new highways and rail lines being built. We even asked him to get us Chaat to try.
