Welcome!! I'm Muluken. I am professional experienced tour organizer/guide in Addis Ababa and Ethiopia. I am here to make your tour experience special. Please, read further below and know me better. I was born and grew up in Addis Ababa - where I completed my junior education. I studied Accounting and was graduated in Diploma from Mekelle University. I didn't, luckily, like my job for 7 months as an Accountant till I decided something social. Then, I studied Tour Operation and Travel Management at the Catering and Tourism Training Institute for two years and graduated in Diploma in 2004 with 'Distinctions' ranking. I worked as a permanent tour operator/guide for the next five years at two of the best known tour companies in Addis Ababa. From August 2009 on, I've been enjoying organizing city tours in Addis Ababa, day tours around Addis Ababa, and longer day private tours to the historical sites of Northern Ethiopia, and the cultural and natural sites of the Omo Valley of Southern Ethiopia. My best quality, I believe, is customizing private tours in Addis Ababa, and longer days tours in Ethiopia. In addition to living in Addis, and professional knowledge and years of experience I got, I am passionate for guiding. Tour guiding is not only my way of earning money, it is a passion I live for. This is my 10 days guided tour of the historical sites of Northern Ethiopia. I want to leave you with an unforgettable memory at the end of this tour. With me as your guide of Northern Ethiopia, I will take you to the best historical sites of Ethiopia most of which are listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. You will also visit religious sites of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church like the rock carved churches of Lalibela (12th and 13th Century AD) and St. Mary of Zion church which is believed to be the last resting place of the Original Ark of the Covenant. Other interesting places you will visit during this private tour of Ethiopia are the island monasteries of Lake Tana, the Blue Nile Falls, Castles of Gondar (17th Century AD), and a lot more This tour allows you learn the historical backgrounds of the significant attractions of Ethiopia included in the itinerary. Your Addis Ababa tour itinerary
Day 1 - Drive north to Bahir Dar (8 hrs) crossing Blue Nile Gorge & visiting Debre Libanos Monastery (30 mins). Day 2 - Visit the Blue Nile Falls (3 hrs) and boat trip on Lake Tana (3 hrs) to visit two island monasteries (16th Cent. AD) Day 3 - Drive north to Gondar (3 hrs) and visit the Imperial Castles of Gondar (3 hrs) Day 4 - Drive to Axum (6 - 7 hrs) Day 5 - Sightseeing tour of sites, ruin palaces, and churches of Axum. Day 6 - Drive to Mekelle (6 hrs) visiting two ancient rock hewn churches Day 7 - Drive to Lalibela (8 hrs) Day 8 - Full day visit of the rock cut churches of Lalibela. Day 9 - Excursion from Lalibela to visit Monasteries of Yemrehane Kristos (4 hrs) & Ne'akuto Le'ab (2 - 3 hrs) Day 10 - End of tour. Above is the basic itinerary of the 10 days tour of historical sites of Northern Ethiopia. Tours ends on Day 10 at Lalibela.
