Full Day Private City Tour in Addis Ababa

We spent a memorable day in Addis Ababa with Muluken. He is knowledgeable and answered all our questions... food , politics, religion, animals, and our children's one million questions. He customised the tour to ensure both adults and children were engaged and happy. We saw some amazing sights, and our kids loved visiting the zoo at Unity Park. One of the highlights was spending time with a local family in the mountains for traditional lunch and coffee ceremony, and visiting Mercato outdoor bustling market. My children loved visiting Lucy at the National Museum. Overall, a great way to see and fall in love with Addis Ababa. A fascinating country and incredible people.

Terrific tour. Muluken is a great guide, professional and personable. The highlight for us was Lucy. The national museum is extremely well done, very informative, but also engaging at the same time. The palace of Haile Selassie was also quite interesting. Our focus is not normally to see museums, but these are highly recommended. The coffee ceremony was also fun. We had seen one before, but each one is just slightly different, so this too was great. Overall a very good day.

Muluken Girma did a great job showing us around Addis Ababa. He was very communicative and prompt after we booked. We got a great sense of the city and the country. He and his driver were prompt and courteous. Muluken is a native of Addis Ababa and he has knowledge of both history and current day. Two of us (friends) went on this tour. We are both from the New York City area and both have traveled extensively. Muluken merits our recommendation.

Muluken was very helpful months before my trip making sure the details would be situated My flight changed twice but Muluken was very flexible. The airport pickup was on time and we went to many places in Addis Ababa! Muluken also added a few extra stops since he knew I liked historic places and churches. The driver was also outstanding as the traffic is tricky!Muluken was extremely helpful in the months leading up to my trip, ensuring that all the details were in order. Muluken even included a few extra stops because he knew I enjoyed historic sites and churches. The driver was also outstanding, especially given the tricky traffic conditions!

Muluken did an excellent job from the very beginning. During the booking phase, he was very prompt and responsive, and he tailored the itinerary to see the sights that we were most interested in. He met us at the airport and he and the driver did an excellent job getting us around Addis Ababa safely. We saw a lot of incredible sights in one day. We were able to take in several churches, the market, Mount Entoto, and the Ethnographic Museum. The coffee ceremony, in particular, was an excellent experience, and it allowed us to meet some of the local residents. All the while Muluken was quick to help us find souvenirs, restrooms, and anything else that came up. I hope to return to Ethiopia one day soon. When I do, I will definitely use Muluken again!

We had a memorable time in Addis Ababa with Muluken. His English was excellent! Our day together happened to be Good Friday -- both lovely and challenging. As we visited the Christian Orthodox cathedral we were able to witness and experience the locals' devotion to Christ and His resurrection. That was impressive! Alas, several museums were closed as well so that shortened our day a bit. We did feel like we gained a good sense of the city and people and really enjoyed the experience!
