Hi! Welcome to Ecuador — a mega-diverse, multicultural and endlessly fascinating country. Let me introduce you to Guayaquil, the vibrant coastal city known as the gateway to Ecuador’s natural and cultural wonders. My name is Javeth. I’m a certified national tour guide by the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador, and I’ve been working as a guide for over 8 years. I specialize in urban tourism, focusing on history and culture — but I also love sharing our rich gastronomy and nearby natural landscapes. What drives me in this profession is the chance to be not just a guide, but a cultural ambassador for my country. Every week, I get to meet new people from all over the world, exchange ideas and connect across languages and traditions. That’s what makes each tour special. I’m fluent in English (certified B2 level), and I believe that a tour should feel like exploring a city with a knowledgeable local friend — relaxed, insightful and memorable. Whether you're into history, food, culture, or nature, I’m here to help you experience the real Ecuador, one story at a time. More than a guide — I want to be a friend along your journey.

There's a saying I truly love about my country which is, "whatever you plant here, will grow." This is why I want you to get immersed in local culture by visiting a couple of the city's most emblematic markets. Hence, I'll take you to a culinary market so you can appreciate the enormous food diversity that Ecuador offers, and to Guayaquil's largest artisan market. Here, you'll get acquainted to local art through unique handicrafts of the highest quality. But for you to become even more familiar with our culture, you must learn about the historical importance of the coffee industry for both Ecuador and the world at large. For this, I'll take you to the Coffee Museum and contextualize you on the history of Ecuador's largest & most iconic coffee franchise. But that's not all, I'll also take you to the National Cacao Museum, so you learn about cacao's fascinating journey from its origins in the Amazon rainforest to becoming the 3rd most consumed beverage on earth.
-After picking you up from an agreed on point, we'll first head North, towards the "Sauces 9" food market. -On arrival, we'll visit the different food stalls, where we can taste some of Ecuador's most iconic fruits as I contextualize you on their nutritional facts & their origins, where they grow and where they're exported. -After exploring the farmer's market, we'll go into the modern Puerto Santa Ana neighbourhood, located at the foot of Santa Ana hill. -Next, we'll visit the Sweet & Coffee Company's coffee museum. -Our subsequent destination will be the Panama Street neighbourhood, a mythical corridor to the heart of the city, where we'll visit The National Cocoa Museum. -What follows will be a visit to the San Fernando chocolate shop for a small tasting of their products. -We'll then do one last stop in the city centre in order to visit the Guayaquil Artisanal Market. -At last, I'll drop you off at an agreed on point.
