CLoud Forest Epic Trip

Experience a walk through a canyon in the middle of the cloud forest. Bathe in several waterfalls experience exuberance of the flora and fauna of the cloud forest. Feel the strength of the biggest waterfall in the area: (270 ft high). There are a several interesting cloud forest birds in the area. Then we will visit a Shuar colony, The Shuar have traditionally been residents of the forests. Extended families lived in large houses scattered in the forest, not in core towns. The basic traditional diet is cassava grown and harvested by women in forest clearings and prepared by men. We will take part of some of their ritual. The origin of the Shuar people is the product of the fusion of an Amazonian group of the Arawak language with another of the Puruhá Mochica language, of clear Andean ancestry. We will participate in some of their rituals. Such as dancing, learning how to hunt using a blowgun. After that we'll visit a cacao farm where you will have a breath-taking Chocolate experience!

Early morning pick-up at participants hotel. Drive through the countryside east of Guayaquil and then up into the outskirts of the Andes into the cloud forest where we will experience the amazing changes in flora, temperature and landscape as we drive up through the mountain. Afetr the two hours hike we will drive to a Shuar colony in the middle of this cloud forest where we will part-take in their rituals. Then we end the day with an amazing cacao experience where wi will begin with a delicious lunch in a rustic cottage
