Pozdravy z Prahy! (Greetings from Prague!) My name is Ljuba (or Luba or Lyuba - there are several ways to spell it). Translated, my name means "love", and I would like to wish you a very warm welcome to the Golden City! I started working as a tour guide in Prague in 1994, when I was still a student. Communism had just barely ended and foreign - especially western - tourists were becoming a more common sight. Much has changed since then, but I still enjoy sharing my love of Prague with visitors from all over the world. I specialize in Jewish tours due to my family heritage, but I've been doing this job for long enough now that I'm happy to show you any aspect of Prague you're most interested in. My two decades of experience have given me deep insight into the many hidden gems this city has to offer - gems less-experience guides might not be familiar with. After working for so many years with tourists, I know that your time in a foreign city is valuable and limited. My job is to ensure that you get the most out of your visit - not just rushing through the sites. I pride myself not only on being a professional but also on providing great personal attention to all of my customers. Those who come on my tours leave Prague with a feeling that they are not only my clients but my friends as well. I have guided people from all walks of life, from politicians and movie stars to the backpacking student traveling on a budget. I offer both standard introductory tours for people who've never been here before and specialist packages for those interested in some specific aspect of Prague's history or culture. I can also make tailor-made tours on any part of Prague you would like to see. Tours are what I specialize in, but thanks to the vast network of connections that I've built up over the years, I can also plan and book your entire trip, from airport transfers to hotel reservations and event tickets - I do it all! If you buy something in a store that turns out to be defective, you can easily get a refund. But if you buy a bad tour, it's so much more than money that is thrown away - your travel time is wasted and you leave with a bad feeling. This is why I do my very best to give you the highest quality tour possible so that your memories of Prague will be only positive. Thank you for visiting my profile and I look forward to showing you around this beautiful city and country! S přátelským pozdravem (Kind regards), Ljuba P. S. If you would like to see more of my beautiful city, please look at the photographs on my profile for just a small taste of what is to come when you visit Prague. I am fully licensed as a professional tour guide in: -the City of Prague -the City of Vienna -the Jewish Museum in Prague -the Prague Castle Trading certificate in providing guiding services. Insured and bonded for transport. VIP Guide Over 25 years of touring experience. Member of Association of Tour Guides of the Czech Republic and WFTGA (World Federation of Tour Guide Associations). I have several high-end Minivans at my disposal for your comfort with water, umbrellas, and tissues. These vehicles have permission to go to certain areas that regular cars cannot, giving my customers a more relaxed experience. PLEASE NOTE: No audio or video recording is allowed on my tours without prior permission

THIS IS MY BEST-SELLING TOUR! I am a very enthusiastic guide that loves her job! As early as the 10th century, Jewish settlers had moved into Prague. Prague (and Czechoslovakia) was once home to the largest population of Ashkenazi Jews anywhere in the world and although nowadays the population is very small - officially the Prague Jewish Community has about 1500 members - the Jewish community left a significant mark on the city. We'll see 4 well-preserved synagogues, including the oldest anywhere north of the Alps. You will also visit the Old Jewish Cemetery, where up to 12 layers of graves lie atop one another; and where you will find the resting place of Rabbi Loew, renowned in legend as the creator of the Golem. Prague is home to the largest collection of Judaica in the world and there is no other collection of historical Jewish artifacts like it anywhere in the world. This is the only Jewish Quarter that the Nazis purposely did not destroy. PLEASE NOTE THIS TOUR IS NOT A HOTEL PICK-UP.
If you choose to do this tour in the morning, I recommend getting an early start (8:45 a.m ) for our 3-hour walking tour. If you wish to do this as an afternoon tour, then we can start at 1-2 p.m. We will visit several famous synagogues: *The 13th-century Old-New Synagogue, the oldest synagogue north of the Alps; *The Pinkas Synagogue, now a hallowed museum dedicated to the Czech victims of the Holocaust; *The exterior of the Klausen Synagogue *Chevrah Kaddisha building and the Old Jewish Cemetery, with its densely packed layers of graves up to 12 levels deep. * The moorish style Spanish synagogue I will be able to answer any questions you have on the local Jewish community during the Nazi occupation, the Communist regime, and the present day. On this tour, you will learn about Jewish life and heritage, both past and present in Prague, while visiting the largest collection of Judaica in the world!
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
Walking (it is all in one small area and all synagogues are located very close to each other). For those with mobility issues, we can arrange a car upon request (at additional cost).
1 Vězeňská, Hlavní město Praha, Hlavní město Praha, 110 00, Czechia
The Spanish Synagogue (underneath the statue of Franz Kafka) at Vězeňská 1, Prague 1. (Please note: do not confuse this with a new Kafka statue in another district of Prague!)
