The Terezin Ghetto

A tour which will set you back into the period of WW II, as the Big Fortress of this former garrison town was used as a transit camp for the Jewish population before beeing deported to extermination camps further east. We have to remember what people are capable to do. Let me take you to Terezín, a small town just 50 minutes of driving from Prague. It was established as a military fortress and garrison city in the 18th century. However, during WW2 it became a concentration camp for the political and Jewish prisoners. History must not be forgotten. We will talk not only about the history of this area but mostly about the life of the Jews, their living conditions, work, and food. We will reveal stories of transports to the East and how many people just perished during the war. We will also cover the story of the Red Cross visit in 1942 that was a huge propaganda action organized by the Nazis.
