Hello everyone! My name is Varvara and I am a professional guide in Prague. I am a translator by first education, therefore I have magical skills to translate from a boring historical to modern interesting language! If you arrive just for a couple of days, or passing through the city, you need to be navigated not miss the main attractions. Guidebooks do not provide comprehensive information, which is also incredibly difficult to understand. So here I am! I will draw up an individual tour for you around the city, museums, at a time suitable for you. After all, the tour is not limited to a strict monotonous program, it is always communication, it is an opportunity to dive into the details that guidebooks will not tell about. I am pleased to give advice on which restaurant to choose, show where they brew tasty beer, and what Czech dishes are worth a try. Come to Prague, Czech Republic, it will not disappoint you! And I will help you to love it and I will reveal all its secrets! I have a master degree in Economics and management. I am a translator of professional communication but 6 years I decided to do what I love. I love history that is why I have got my guide license. And now enjoy my work every day! I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Just an hour from Prague stands the quiet town of Terezín. At first glance, it feels ordinary — wide streets, brick walls, peaceful squares. But behind these walls lives a story the world must never forget. During World War II, Terezín became a Jewish ghetto and transit camp. Thousands arrived here with uncertainty in their eyes. Many would never return home. Between 1941 and 1945, approximately 140,000 Jewish men, women, and children were sent here from across Europe. Terezín was presented to the outside world as a ‘model Jewish settlement.’ It was used for propaganda. But the reality was overcrowding, hunger, disease, and fear. Today, we are not here as tourists. We are here as witnesses...

Truly amazing and moving experience visiting Terezin. Our tour guide was not only extremely knowledgeable, her passion for Czech history exuded from her pours. She appreciated that my son and I love history and she would challenge us with questions during our drive to the camp. If you are visiting Prague I highly, highly recommend this tour and Varvara as the guide. I promise you will bot be disappointed! A+++
Bearing Witness at Terezin - The visit to Terezin was a profoundly moving experience, and Barbara approached it with extraordinary sensitivity and depth. She struck a perfect balance—honoring the gravity of the site while providing historical context that enriched our understanding. Her respectful storytelling helped us process the difficult history in a way that was thoughtful and humane. Barbara’s ability to guide us through the emotional terrain of Terezin was a testament to her character and her commitment to meaningful education. Barbara was attentive, organized, and genuinely warm. She tailored the experience to our interests, answered every question with grace, and made us feel welcomed and cared for. Her insight, empathy, and vibrant personality truly elevated our time in the Czech Republic.
Vavara was one of the best tour guides my wife and I have had! She is very knowledgeable, personable and was sensitive to our interests. She provided insightful background as we walked through Terezin and gave us time to reflect on what we were seeing. Her driver was also terrific…picking us up at our hotel, the Andaz Hotel in Prague, and gettng as back and forth. His car was very comforable and he was a safe driver. We highly recommend any tour Varvara offers!
It was obviously a difficult tour to see what happened at Terezin but Varvara was very informative in all of the information. I would recommend.
