Hey there! I’m Jan – your licensed tour guide, drummer, music teacher, all-around history geek, and someone who believes every good city deserves to be explored with curiosity and a smile. I studied drums and percussion at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory (graduated in 1999), and music is still a huge part of my life. But since 2002, I’ve also been guiding people through the streets, castles, cafés, and hidden corners of Prague and the Czech Republic. I guide in English, Spanish, and Portuguese – so chances are, we’ll understand each other perfectly fine (and probably laugh a lot too). What can you expect on my tours? Think less “history lecture,” more “local friend showing you around his favorite spots.” I mix stories, humor, a few music references here and there, and plenty of insider tips – the kind that make you feel like you really *get* the city. I love taking people beyond Prague too – Český Krumlov, Kutná Hora, Karlovy Vary, Karlštejn, Konopiště… all magical in their own way. I also run guided transfers between cities like Prague–Vienna, Prague–Berlin, or Prague–Budapest. Why just travel from A to B when you can see something cool on the way? I’ve spent a year traveling across the Americas – from the U.S. to Mexico, Guatemala, and Brazil – and it taught me that travel is all about stories, people, and moments that make you smile years later. If that sounds like your kind of trip, come explore with me. No stress, no scripts – just real places, real stories, and maybe a rhythm or two. Licensed Prague Guide since 2005 Licensed Czech Republic & EU Guide since 2002 Graduate of Jaroslav Ježek Music Conservatory, Prague (1999) Driver’s license for cars, vans & minibuses since 1994 Let’s make your trip to Czechia unforgettable.

Theresienstadt in German is well known as a concentration camp during WWII. Thousands of people come here every year to remind all the victims of the Nazi terror or to find out new info about their ancestor that were imprisoned here. You'll find out how the Nazis used to manage the Prague Gestapo prison in the small fortress, the Jewish ghetto in the big fort and why was Terezín such an essential concentration camp for them. I will also tell you several stories of bravery, humanity and resistance to the horrors of the Holocaust. But I'd like to show you also what most of the visitors miss out - the origins of the fortress that reach back to the 18th century. In fact, the main reason to build Terezín was to defend the Kingdom of Bohemia against the Prussian armies. It used to be the most sophisticated and the best baroque military fort complex in Europe and we can explore it all together. All of my tours can be fully customized just for you, so please don't hesitate to specify your needs.
