Curacao Jewish Heritage Tour

During this private tour, take a look inside the Jewish history. Visit the oldest Synagogue in the Western Hemisphere, build in 1732. Step into the Jewish Museum connected to the Synagogue. Since the old Synagogue is situated in the old city of Willemstad, I will give you some information of the history and also share some historical monuments with you, situated in the old neighbourhoods of Scharloo, which are all on the World Heritage list of UNESCO.

- The tour will start at the Curaçao sign, at the Wilhelmina Square in Punda. - We will cross through the Bredestraat in Punda and Hanchi Snoa, to visit the Synagogue and museum. - After visiting the Synagogue we will cross the Queen Wilhelmina Square and continue our tour by walking to the old neighbourhood of Scharloo, a former Jewish neighbourhood with many beautiful renovated villas. - Then we will go to the old Temple building, where some of the Jewish members used to do their services. - The tour ends by walking back to the Wilhelmina Square The tour lasts between 3 hours. This will depend on whether the pontoon bridge is open or closed.
