"Bon biní" to Curaçao! That means "welcome" to Curaçao in our local language, Papiamentu. I'm Elton, a local island-boy born and raised in Curaçao who would be more than glad to show you around his island. As an avid traveller who has visited about 80 countries so far (probably your country too), my love and appreciation for Curaçao only kept on growing as I travelled more and more. Meeting people from across the globe with different backgrounds and cultures is one of the things I enjoy the most. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable when it comes to the island. It would be an honour to share all this love and appreciation with you and also teach you some Papiamentu if you're interested! ATTENTION: - In case you or someone on your party has mobility issues (difficulties walking), I'd recommend sending me a message first instead of immediately booking so we can discuss and see whether it would be possible to do the tour. - Prices are for tours starting in Willemstad only; hotels in the Jan Thiel area and also Sandals Royal are not Willemstad. An extra fee will be added to cover the further distance for the pick-up and drop-off. If staying in the western side of the island and the tour occurs there, there will be no extra fee. You'll get to see "Banda Bou", the countryside area on the western side of the island. What I like the most of Banda Bou, is the countryside feel to it: much more quiet than Willemstad, more nature and fresh air! Without a doubt it has the island's best beaches, which is also why it's a popular area also for local tourism. During this tour you'll see flamingos in their natural habitat; enjoy stunning views over the landscape; visit Shete Boka National Park with its rough coastline and blowholes; swim or snorkel with turtles at Playa Piskadó; photo-stop at two/three beaches and visit one beach to relax before going back to your accommodation. * Please note that I cannot guarantee that there will always be flamingos or turtles to be seen during the tour: nature decides! * Parts of Shete Boka N.P can be inaccessible due to weather or sargassum.
What a great day we had with Elton!!! We saw so much and had a wonderful time. The combination of seeing Willemstad -learning a little history, walking the streets and seeing the murals - then seeing the flamingoes, going to the blow holes, seeing turtles, numerous beaches, the countryside, a picturesque lunch with “cliff jumping” and finally ending watching the piglets and a swim. An absolutely perfect day. Do not miss your chance to spend the day with Elton!
Elton was a phenomenal guide! He took us to the spots I had researched online and then added other stops that we didn't know about, like snorkeling with sea turtles. He was patient with our two children who were a bit annoying at times and stopped for us to get food and local places. I would go back to Curacao in a heartbeat thanks to Elton's fantastic tour of the island!
This was the first of two tours we took with Elton. Right away we could see his professionalism as he promptly responded to our questions via email before the tour. He arrived at the hotel on time, and was very knowledgeable and friendly throughout the tour. Snorkeling with sea turtles was definitely the highlight of our trip to Curacao and Elton was a great guide. He's also an excellent safe driver and the car was in good condition.
Elton was the best tour guide we've had in over 4 years of traveling! Prior to arrival we talked with Elton about the highlights of Curaçao and our likes and dislikes and he put together a custom tour for us. It was fantastic! A combination of walking tour and driving tour around the island that captured all the highlights. It was a great tour, but Elton's personality and depth of knowledge of the island and its history made it come alive. We left with a great tour and new friend. Absolute must tour!
Elton was punctual , friendly, courteous, engaging , extremely knowledgeable of Curaçao We customized a wonderful tour from 1045 am to 6:45 pm. We covered the whole island land looking at all main sights and beach. The car was comfortable for the 2 of us. We even included a stop at a restaurant in West Punt that over looked the beautiful aqua water with excellent food. He was most obliging to take photos of us. And he captured photos that we could not get for lasting memories. He is highly recommended
Elton was an excellent tour guide , we hired him for a custom curacao day tour and received so much more. He was so knowledgeable and courteous, not to mention super popular on the island ;) So friendly/fun and definitely made our experience so much more than we expected and hired him for. It greatly depends on where the pick-up / drop-off is and of course traffic and weather conditions. The choice of beach to stay at would be Kenepa Chikitu or Playa Abou (Kenepa Grandi) with limited services such as showers, but we could go to any other beach the client wishes to go to with more services. Eventual entrance fees to certain beaches would be at clients' expense. - Flamingo spotting at former salt flats - Panoramic view Sta. Martha Bay (photo stop) - Shete Boka National Park (blowholes): uneven walking surfaces, you could get wet feet! Parts of trails could be wet, muddy, slippery. Two or three stops here. - Westpunt, with possibility to see turtles and lunch-time (lunch cost not included). - Photo-stop at 2 or 3 beaches - Stay at a beach for some time (length of stay depends how much time there is left) The western side of the island is the furthest away from the city (roughly 1 hour driving to the westernmost village). * Do not hesitate to contact me for a customized tour
