Sibenik feels like a big village and I would love to show you this city through my eyes. So nope, I am not your umbrella-wielding guide :) My name is Igor and I have been living in Sibenik region since 2005. I've decided to be tour guide because I've also realized that Dalmatia and especially Sibenik is not yet ready for mass tourism, therefore quite difficult to move around and to appreciate, even for some locals. I am "witnessing" the history of Sibenik region as person from the side. However, like typical Dalmatian I like long sleeping, 'will do tomorrow', slow food, glass of wine before bed-time, 'intense discussion' about soccer players and politics. I love Sibenik, walking in Sibenik, exploring Sibenik, learning about Sibenik and finding out new things and old things, and particularly, I like strange, quirky and slightly odd facts. I am promoting the "slow tourism", allowing you deeper experience, stronger emotional involvement and relaxation. After all, Croatian coast is well known by its slow Mediterranean lifestyle, called "fjaka" (pronounced "fyaka"). You see, you've already just learned something about Dalmatia and you haven't even come to my tour :) Freelance Licensed Tour Guide ID Number 012636 Certified Interpretive Guide (CIG) and Certified Interpretive Trainer (CIT) in Interpret Europe (European Association for Heritage Interpretation)

Explore Sibenik through stories and 4 local alcoholic drinks. Live and act as a local. Ideal for time-pressed travelers, adventurers, and lovers of local traditions. You will drink and experience “killing time" in Sibenik, “greasy street”, connection between the most famous Croatian sportsman and a duck shop, giant infants, wine as currency, “lucky poop,” a workshop where we’ll make the most famous Dalmatian spirit known locally as the “antibiotic”, a secret door and path used for fraud, the largest water cistern in medieval city, Dalmatian swearing vocabulary (perhaps we will practice if we get drunk :), a local medicinal liqueur that clashed with pharmacists, local street food available 24/7, the “Tinder” of the early 20th century, a legend (today we would call it fake news ) about a local spinster, three twigs, a rebus that warns us to stop the tour, a “deadly” souvenir from Dalmatia, and the message that drinking wine is not a sin (at least, according to the Bible) and much more...
We'll start our tour of Šibenik at 6 PM and gradually immerse ourselves in the nightlife of the old town. We'll meet at Poljana, the main square for locals. Then, we'll walk along "Greasy Street" to our first stop, where we'll try our first drink. From there, we'll climb a few steps at the Gorica part of old Sibenik to the hidden Medieval Garden, where we'll not only try a drink but also make one. Then we'll descend to the largest medieval public cistern, where, as you might have guessed, we'll have another drink. Then, we'll walk along "Wide Street" to the next bar... At the end of our tour, we'll definitely have something traditional to eat at the local bakery... Finally, I'll leave you in the same square where we began our tour.

Sorry, but this is officially a walking tour :)
Poljana, Šibenik, Šibensko-kninska županija, 22000, Croatia
In Šibenik, Poljana is the city’s official "living room." It is the main city square where every major local ćakula (gossip session) starts and where the pulse of the city is most easily felt.
