Hello and welcome to my beautiful country of Croatia! My name is Mirko and I come from the southern part of our coastline, amazing Dalmatia region, famous for its natural beauties and cultural heritage. Sibenik is my hometown, hidden gem between bigger cites Zadar and Split, which both are just one hours driving distance. Very close are also two national parks, hundreds of islands, clean rivers, the highest mountain in Croatia and five Unesco world heritage sites. Together they create ideal scenery for a perfect vacation. I have been a tour guide since 2010 and completely devoted to this call. I speak fluent English and Spanish language and in the last nine years I have shown my country to thousands of guests from all over the world. I have been working for the big and small tour operators from Croatia, UK, US, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Japan, Taiwan. . . I have worked a lot as a private guide in Croatia, and of course I consider all of my guests as VIP guests. To this job led me a stroke of luck. After finishing my studies and work in Zagreb, I spent one year in Spain working in a hotel in San Sebastian. There I realized that tourism is my call of destiny since I like traveling, meeting other cultures, languages, gastronomy, history. . . and the most important working with people! From that moment on I am very happy person because my passion is my job :) After, I also worked in an incoming travel agency for several years and for five years also as private driver guide in Croatia. Therefore I have been guiding and organizing tours, creating customized itineraries for individuals and small groups all around Croatia and abroad. Beauty and the wild - Sibenik and Krka falls. This is my favorite combination to explore in our region. So put on your comfortable shoes and get ready for me to show you my beautiful hometown and the astonishing nature nearby! The park is most famous for Skradinski buk waterfall which is part of our walk. You will enjoy exploring waterfalls and lakes by walking on wooden footpaths between the trees and travertine barriers. After the walk and some free time you will enjoy a nice boat ride to a small picturesque place, Skradin. Short walk there and then we will head back to Sibenik. Sibenik is a beautiful place where I live and where I grew up. A hidden gem on the Adriatic coast line. While walking through the old town's narrow stone streets we are going to visit the unique UNESCO St. James cathedral. After the tour you can stay in the old town on your own for lunch and explore or I can drive you back to your ship/hotel. The old town is just 5-10 minutes easy waterfront walk distance from the cruise port.
We had a customized tour with Mirko of Krka Falls, Skradin, Visovac Island, St John's fortress, and Sibenik. This was a terrific tour set up by Mirko. He was a great tour guide. On time. Organized. We enjoyed spending the day with him. He is a very nice person who is a knowledgeable and articulate guide. We would strongly recommend him to anyone planning a tour in this area of Croatia.
Mirko was an incredible tour guide! He has so much knowledge about his country that he kept the 8 of us captivated throughout our tour. Unfortunately, we had a downpour and lightning strikes that disrupted our ability to see the waterfalls. Mirko made the best of our time taking us to the city center of Sibenik for a casual walk and history lesson. Definitely a 5 star tour guide!
Our tour with Mirko was wonderful. He is polite, knowledgeable, and very professional. He obviously loves what he does. Mirko went above and beyond to help my spouse (who has difficulty walking) to enjoy the Krka waterfalls. We highly recommend Mirko.
The best tour of our trip! Miko was so courteous, knowledgeable, and went over and beyond to make our tour extra enjoyable! We loved Croatia and he is a wonderful representation of such a beautiful country.
Mirko was outstanding. He met us right outside of our ship's dock and had a very comfortable, air-conditioned van for our group of 7 people. We enjoyed his personal stories about Sibenik and the area. Krka Waterfall was incredible. Mirko was able to get us quickly through the crowds and helped us find the best photo opportunities. He waited with us until we boarded the boat to exit the falls and then met us 20 minutes away where we walked around the small Croatian city. After we enjoyed lunch, he took my parents back to the ship and continued the tour for the rest of our group. He walked us around the old town of Sibenik and we learned about the town during the Homeland War. I would highly recommend this tour with Mirko. He made the experience unforgettable for all of us!
He was very accommodating and very attentive to our needs. Extremely knowledgeable about the area as well as geology and flora. I have no reservations, recommending him to anyone.
- 20 Minutes - Drive to Skradinski buk waterfalls. - 2 Hours - One and half hour of walk through the park and then some free time to relax and explore, or do a 20 minutes boat ride to Skradin. - 30 Minutes - Drive back to Sibenik - 1 Hr and 30 Min - Sibenik city tour, some time if you want and then transfer back to your boat or hotel or you can stay in the town for lunch This is orientation itinerary with approximate duration of each step. Of course details can be changed regarding your preferences and needs.

If you come with the cruise ship to the port of Sibenik, the meeting point will be outside the restricted area, 100 meters from the ship. It is an easy straight walk out the cruise port area. I will send you the location and a photo. Drop off will be right to the ship. If you come to the small port Zablace (Viking Mira and Vesta) then pick up and drop off right where the tender boats drop you off. If you do not come with the cruise ship, I can pick you up wherever in the Sibenik area.
