Hello and welcome to my beautiful country of Croatia! My name is Mirko and I come from the southern part of our coastline, amazing Dalmatia region, famous for its natural beauties and cultural heritage. Sibenik is my hometown, hidden gem between bigger cites Zadar and Split, which both are just one hours driving distance. Very close are also two national parks, hundreds of islands, clean rivers, the highest mountain in Croatia and five Unesco world heritage sites. Together they create ideal scenery for a perfect vacation. I have been a tour guide since 2010 and completely devoted to this call. I speak fluent English and Spanish language and in the last nine years I have shown my country to thousands of guests from all over the world. I have been working for the big and small tour operators from Croatia, UK, US, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Japan, Taiwan. . . I have worked a lot as a private guide in Croatia, and of course I consider all of my guests as VIP guests. To this job led me a stroke of luck. After finishing my studies and work in Zagreb, I spent one year in Spain working in a hotel in San Sebastian. There I realized that tourism is my call of destiny since I like traveling, meeting other cultures, languages, gastronomy, history. . . and the most important working with people! From that moment on I am very happy person because my passion is my job :) After, I also worked in an incoming travel agency for several years and for five years also as private driver guide in Croatia. Therefore I have been guiding and organizing tours, creating customized itineraries for individuals and small groups all around Croatia and abroad. For this I also recently purchased new van Opel Vivaro 8+1 seats, you can see the photos in my profile. But of course if preferred I can organize another car or van. So whether you need a city walk in Sibenik, half day excursion or even a multi-day tour in Croatia, I would be glad to be your guide. I will give you an insight to our local way of life and bring you closer our culture, history, tradition, beautiful coastline, natural parks, cities. . . Looking forward to meet you and be part of your unforgettable memory in Croatia :) * Licensed tourist guide from 2010 * Master's degree in Economics, University in Zagreb * Driver's license (car, van) * Additional professional driver license * If the meeting point will be the cruise terminal, I will be waiting for you by the cruise ship and we will walk together to vehicle, just outside the cruise ramp, some 50-100 meters

Welcome to my hometown! Sibenik is the place where I grew up and where I want to grow old. I want to show you what made me stay here despite all the challenges in life and why I consider myself happy to be a resident of this charming small city. Sibenik is a real Gothic-renaissance pearl on the Adriatic coast. Thanks to the period of 15 and 16 century, when it was the richest and most powerful town in Dalmatia, Sibenik conserves various beautiful and abundantly decorated medieval palaces hidden in old stone narrow streets. The center of the city is marked by the unique St. James's Cathedral, which is on the UNESCO list of world heritage since 2000. You will notice that my hometown has a beautiful atmosphere. The locals are friendly and everybody seems to know each other, which makes it feel very local and fun. And even though you are an outsider, they will make sure you fit right in and feel at home. Regardless how long you stay, visiting Sibenik will definitely enrich your Croatian experience.
- 10 minutes nice walk along the waterfront from the cruise port/bus station and a stop for a panoramic view of the old town - 01h 30min walk through the old town, we will see main square Poljana, green park Rober Visiani, town hall, theater, Republic square, Medulic square, St John church. . . and many more. The walk is not challenging, there are approximately 20 steps to climb total during the walk. - 20 minutes optional inside visit of the St. James's cathedral - Afterwards we will have a nice walk back to the ship, or if you would prefer you can stay in the city for shopping, refreshing drink, or just explore more on your own. If you would prefer we can make the tour shorter or longer, however you would feel during the walk. We can make a coffee break in the middle of the walk or explore some additional parts of the town. It is possible to visit St Michael fortress which is located in the center of the town. From the top beautiful view opens to the city, Adriatic sea and our island archipelago.
