Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, My name is Makara. Born in 1994, I grew up on a family farm in Kampot province, located about 450 kilometers from Angkor Wat. After completing high school in 2012, I decided to move to Siem Reap—the most famous travel destination in Cambodia—to pursue my passion for language and culture. In 2016, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from Build Bright University. Alongside my studies, I successfully passed the official tourist guide examination at the end of 2015 and completed a rigorous, year-long training program organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia. Today, I am an active, fully licensed tourist guide acknowledged by the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia. I have extensive experience leading tours across the country, with a specialized focus on Siem Reap. I absolutely love being a personal tour guide because it allows me to help travelers discover our authentic local cities, rich history, vibrant culture, diverse religions, stunning architecture, and the beautiful daily life that makes my country so unique. With my professionalism and deep local knowledge, I am dedicated to offering travelers excellent service and unforgettable activities throughout their journey in Cambodia. I pride myself on adding a warm, personal touch to every tour I lead, ensuring my clients return home with memories to last a lifetime. Because your comfort and wishes are my highest priorities, I am completely flexible with times and itineraries—operating entirely on your schedule and at your preferred pace. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any special requests. I would be delighted to help you customize the perfect itinerary based on your unique interests and needs. Experience the breathtaking sunrise at Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument and the premier location for witnessing dawn in the world. Departing early is the ideal way to dodge the crowds and the rising temperatures. It’s highly beneficial to visit the most magnificent temples at the optimal time. In addition to Angkor Wat, visitors will have the chance to see the Bayon temple, known for its striking smiling faces, and Ta Prohm temple, famous from the Tomb Raider movie, along with original carvings and sculptures perfect for photography. This tour also offers holidaymakers the opportunity to discover the local authentic city, along with Cambodia's rich cultures, histories, architectures, and religions.
5:00 AM, Stunning sunrise at Angkor Wat temple, the best place to watch sunrise in the world. 8:00 AM, Bayon, a temple with over 200 smiling faces which built by Cambodia's most beloved king, Jayavarman VII. 9:30 AM, Ta Prohm, a temple covered by a dense jungle of trees and roots, the site is most famous for its strangler fig trees whose roots seemingly drip down over the temple and its appearance in the Lara Croft, Tomb Raider movie. 11:00 AM, Wrap up the morning session and heading back to your hotel around 11:30 am before the heat. Option A (Breakfast Box): Please request a breakfast box from your hotel to bring along. This allows us to maximize our time in the cool morning air and finish the tour by 11:00 AM, avoiding the midday heat. Option B (Return to Hotel): If you prefer a seated breakfast at your hotel, we can explore Angkor Wat, return for your meal, and then head back out to visit Bayon and Ta Prohm. Please note that this option extends the tour into the warmer afternoon hours.
