Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, My name is Makara. Born in 1994, I grew up on a family farm in Kampot province, located about 450 kilometers from Angkor Wat. After completing high school in 2012, I decided to move to Siem Reap—the most famous travel destination in Cambodia—to pursue my passion for language and culture. In 2016, I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from Build Bright University. Alongside my studies, I successfully passed the official tourist guide examination at the end of 2015 and completed a rigorous, year-long training program organized by the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia. Today, I am an active, fully licensed tourist guide acknowledged by the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia. I have extensive experience leading tours across the country, with a specialized focus on Siem Reap. I absolutely love being a personal tour guide because it allows me to help travelers discover our authentic local cities, rich history, vibrant culture, diverse religions, stunning architecture, and the beautiful daily life that makes my country so unique. With my professionalism and deep local knowledge, I am dedicated to offering travelers excellent service and unforgettable activities throughout their journey in Cambodia. I pride myself on adding a warm, personal touch to every tour I lead, ensuring my clients return home with memories to last a lifetime. Because your comfort and wishes are my highest priorities, I am completely flexible with times and itineraries—operating entirely on your schedule and at your preferred pace. Bonteay Srei (citadel of the women), one of the most intricated and finest pink and yellow sandstone carving temple anyway on earth. Kbal Spean, the best hiking place in Siem Reap, about 50 km northeast of Siem Reap, a spectacularly carved riverbed. It is set deep in the jungle to the northeast of Angkor. More commonly referred to in English as the ‘River of a Thousand Lingas’, the name actually means bridgehead. Beng Mealea, one of the most mysterious temples at Angkor, as nature has well and truly run riot. Exploring this Titanic of temples, built to the same floor plan as Angkor Wat, is the ultimate Indiana Jones experience.
8:00 am, explore a beautiful pink and yellow sandstone temple, Bonteay Srei. 10:00 am, explore a popular hiking place, Kbal Spean mountain (1.5 km). 12:00 pm, travel to Beng Mealea temple, it takes about 1 hour drive. 1:00 pm, lunch break at a local restaurant near the temple. 2:00 pm, the most mysterious temples at Angkor, as nature has well and truly run riot, Beng Mealea. 3:00 pm, back to Siem Reap, arrive hotel at 4:30 pm. The tour hikes 1.5 km up and 1.5 km down the mountain through rocky terrain and steep slopes. The ticket for these places are the same as Angkor admission fee, we recommend you to buy 3 days pass when visiting Angkor Wat, it saves a lot of time and money for not buying the ticket twice. Please bring some cash for food and beverages due to some places doesn't accept the credit card.
