Then I moved to Siem Reap city when I was about three months old. I have two brothers, and I'm the second. Well, we still live in Siem Reap. By the time I finished High School in 2011, I got poverty scholarships to study at BBU, supported by the World Bank under the administration of Cambodia Government. In the meanwhile, I also worked as an English teacher at Smartkids and Future Bright International Schools, however by 2016, I have applied to become a local guide in Siem Reap under regulations of Ministry of Tourism. Now I'm a well-trained and licensed tour guide by Ministry of Tourism and I have been guiding travelers to Angkor complex and all over the Kingdom of Cambodia since 2016. Obviously, I am able to share with you the ancient and recent history, culture, politics, local lifestyles of Cambodia. I can bring you to the sites where you wish to see such as Angkor Wat, Kulen Mountain National Park, temples on the North Of Cambodia, the farmlands in the countryside, local markets and so on. I love to share my beautiful culture, amazing rich history, and all the beautiful places of Cambodia to the world. The tour will bring you to explore unforgettable temples in certain time to get off the beaten tracks. Well, the best architectural structure with the equinox, then the magnificence of the most complex artificial mountain temple with its gigantic smiling faces and Tomb Raider. We also visit the Pink and Yellow sandstone temple known as Banteay Srei or The Lady Temple. Obviously, we will visit a small authentic village of Kompong Pluk and Tonle Sap Lake to capture real life of Cambodian through this tiny village. End of tour
We are 2 adults and 2 teenagers and spent 2 days with Sophy visiting temples, the fishing village and butterfly farm. Communication with Sophy was perfetct, she is very responsive and attentive. She was very flexible to adjust the tour times and stops to our wishes and needs even on the same day. The transportation van was in very good condition and the driver was friendly and competent. We highly recommend her as a guide.
Junie was fantastic! We were delayed by a day and Junie handled everything, reorganizing cooking classes, shows and tours to fit our new compressed timeline. Not only that, she was great throughout the trip, making sure we got to go beyond the tourist Hanoi and see villages and other unseen areas. She was also great with our daughter, making sure she was always comfortable. We can't say thanks enough to Junie!
We had a wonderful experience on this 2 day tour. Sophy provided great information about all the temples. 2 of our group had mobility difficulties and she was very helpful. The weather was very hot 100F and she would find shaded areas to talk with us. The breakfast and lunch locations were fantastic. The cold water and towels were greatly appreciated when returning to the van. The trip to the fishing village and boat ride were great. We enjoyed the backroads getting out of touristy locations.
Sophy, our tour guide for Siem Reap, Cambodia was awesome. Sophy contacted us a few days before our arrival to remind us of our upcoming customized tour. We went to the fishing village of Kampong Pluk, local market in Siem Reap, the Killing Field, Angkor Wat at sunrise plus 3 other temples. She was extremely flexible based on our preferences. She was knowledgeable about the history of her country. This was a superb tour with an organized itinerary and wonderful guide and driver.
I cannot praise Sophy K (and our driver) highly enough. She is a massive credit to her profession and her country of which she is rightly proud. There was literally no question she couldn't answer and her knowledge of Cambodian history, culture and society was immense. The tour over 2 days taking in the major temples and the Landmines Museum was brilliant. Sophy knew exactly when and where to go to avoid any crowds and made sure we were all fine despite the heat. Thank you.
