Floating village of Kompong Pluk

Our tour to the Floating Village of Kompong Pluk was an interesting experience! Located on Tonle Sap Lake, about 16km from Siem Reap, this village offered a fascinating glimpse into Cambodian life. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights about the stilted houses, local schools, and even a floating pagoda. Since we visited during the dry season, the water levels were low, revealing the towering stilts beneath the homes. The boat ride through the lush mangrove forest was peaceful, allowing us to see the unique ecosystem up close. Stops at the floating crocodile farm added an extra layer of interest. The entire tour lasted around 2.5 hours, giving us plenty of time to take in the sights. Our guide ensured everything ran smoothly and answered all our questions. If you're visiting Siem Reap, this tour is a must for a deeper cultural experience!

Sopheak was a wonderful guide who genuinely welcomed us into his beautiful country. He was so warm and engaging and taught us a lot about Cambodian culture, family, history and customs. We really enjoyed our time with him today! He was punctual and accommodating when we asked to bump the tour back an hour the night before. Would highly recommend a tour with Sopheak!

Friendly and good tour

Sopheak arrived to collect us on time and we were very much at ease with him from the start. He has good language skills and answered all our questions clearly. He made the tour around the floating village very interesting and we loved spending time with him. An excellent tour guide.

Sopheak is a very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, kind and fun tour guide. He answered all of our questions with ease. He is very fluent in English and found him to be very, very nice and we feel very safe to be with him. He even bought us lotus flowers to be able to taste lotus seeds. My first experiece to taste fresh lotus seeds. I highly recommend him for your travel to Siem Reap for your visit to Cambodia. Will tell my friends about him when I go back to United States.
